  1. 'What a fantastic duel'published at 11:24 British Summer Time 14 May 2022

Johnston and Todd are running side by side - what a fantastic duel this is. The lead has changed about four times.

Seeley is down to fourth momentarily as McLean and Lee Johnston get past.

Johnston uses the slipstream to move up to second but Davey Todd on that Honda has created a bit of a gap in his Honda.

Johnston is quick through the Magheraboy chicane to narrow the gap before going round him as they come onto the coast road.

This is exciting stuff now, they're effectively side-by-side and changing the lead every couple of second.

  3. Away they gopublished at 11:18 British Summer Time 14 May 2022

    Six laps, away we go.

Adam McLean gets away quicker than Davey Todd but can't hold the position for long.

Todd fires back and gets ahead of Seeley at Millroad roundabout. Expect position changes aplenty in this one.

It could just be mind games after Thursday's race, but Davey Todd was around the warm-up lap a good five seconds before anyone else.

Laying down a marker? He's up for this!

Off they go for their warm-up lap.

A reminder that it's Alastair Seeley on pole with Adam McLean and Davey Todd completing the front row.

  7. Another Seeley show?published at 11:03 British Summer Time 14 May 2022

    Andy Gray
BBC Sport NI at the North West 200

Of Thursday it was Alastair Seeley who came out on top but the Wee Wizard didn't have it all his own way with Davey Todd and Jeremy McWilliams pushing him close in the dance around the puddles.

Adam McLean could have been right up there if it wasn't for a mistake and a trip across the grass, and you can't count the McAdoo man out of 600 honours.

There's also a certain Michael Dunlop up at the short end of the grid.

Lee Johnston, running the number one plate, is in 11th and will be looking to charge through the field.

Dunlop has just spoken to Stephen Watson and says he's good to go, so no dramas there.

  10. Postpublished at 10:59 British Summer Time 14 May 2022

Michael Dunlop didn't manage a full lap of the Supertwin race and things don't look too rosy on the grid ahead of the Supersport.

There's a lot of activity going on around his bike, so we'll keep an eye on that.

  11. To the Supersportspublished at 10:57 British Summer Time 14 May 2022

Right then we're onto the Supersports and a certain Mr A Seeley is eyeing win number 27.

He's predicting a gaggle of six or seven riders vying to take top spot here, not anticipating a two-way battle with Davey Todd as was the case on Thursday.

  12. Postpublished at 10:52 British Summer Time 14 May 2022

Seriously impressive stuff from Cooper there, we'll have the official times for you shortly but put it like this: Cooper was miles ahead.

  13. Jordan delighted with podium spotpublished at 10:45 British Summer Time 14 May 2022

    Quote Message

Pierre closed the door off on the kerb abd I just wanted to get a first podium at the North West 200 - I'm delighted for the team. Pierre closed the door off towards the kerb (in last lap) and I didn't want to take the risk so I wanted to settle for third.

Paul Jordan, Third place in opening Supertwins race

    Quote Message

Before this race my target was top 10, but when I saw I was two on the grid I said 'oh, maybe on the podium'. I did my best and I'm super happy for the team.

  15. 'I have a bike that's good enough to win'published at 10:43 British Summer Time 14 May 2022

    Quote Message

Ryan Farquhar and the JMcC Kawasaki team have given me a bike that's good enough to win. Every time I've got on this bike we've made small improvements, there's so much more to come from it worryingly for these people and if we can repeat that this afternoon it will be quite a special day.

  18. COOPER WINS SUPERTWINSpublished at 10:40 British Summer Time 14 May 2022

Flawless stuff from Richard Cooper who takes the first win of the day with ease.

  19. Postpublished at 10:40 British Summer Time 14 May 2022

My word, Johnston, McWilliams and Coward are almost three abreast as Johnston tries in vain to go around the outside.

In terms of the battle for third, it's anyone's game.

  20. Postpublished at 10:36 British Summer Time 14 May 2022

Paul Jordan gets through Pierre Yves Bian as they begin the last lap in the fight for second, behind them it's Coward, Johnston and McWilliams.

Cooper, meanwhile, is all one his lonesome. And he will be absolutely loving it.
