  3. 'It got hot and heavy'published at 18:20 British Summer Time 9 May

Michael Dunlop on his third place in the Superbike race

Michael Dunlop, speaking to BBC Sport NI: "It got hot and heavy there.

"We were bouncing on each other a wee bit. It's Pete [Hickman] and Dean [Harrison], people that I race with all the time.

"It's not so bad when you know them. You know who you're working with. That's what it's about.

"If we could have got away we would have been in a better place."

I think Davey has learned more from this than what Glenn has. It'll be interesting, this makes it all better for Saturday.

If you're not here already, get yourself down on Saturday!

  6. 'I'm frustrated'published at 18:14 British Summer Time 9 May

    Glenn Irwin wins Superbike race

Davey Todd, speaking to BBC Sport NI: "I feel like I put in the work there at the start. We sort of kept a little bit in reserve.

"I said to the boys, we've got more in that lap time. Doing 14:16 is pretty savage.

"I thought I had it worked out. I sort of know where Glenn's strong and where he isn't.

"I'm just frustrated in myself. I made a silly judgement at the end. I know where I'm strong, I could have had him up the inside into Juniper and I choose to go outside.

"It's one of them, you have to make your decision."

Just a reminder that BOTH Glenn Irwin and Davey Todd smashed the previous lap record from Peter Hickman.

Todd set a 4:16.953 on a titanic second lap, but Irwin edged him with a 4:16.737.

The previous record was a 4:18.753. They've decimated it by two seconds. That's so impressive!

  10. 'An amazing achievement'published at 18:07 British Summer Time 9 May

    Glenn Irwin wins Superbike race

Glenn Irwin on equalling Superbike wins record: "It's an amazing achievement. Those guys done it over their whole career, and to go nine wins in a row and that's a reminder of how tough it is here.

"Some people want to ride harder than me here but we can still find a way. I don't know how we done it. Great team, great family support and a mindset that I don't think that anyone on the grid has anything near, so that makes a difference."

  11. 'I had to go to his level'published at 18:03 British Summer Time 9 May

    Glenn Irwin wins Superbike race

Glenn Irwin: "It was a really fun race, honestly. I've been lucky to be at the front a number of times here and in practice we have been riding so, so hard. It sounds weird, but it wasn't fun riding behind Davey. He was riding so well but he was on the limit. To win we had to go to his level."
