GB men 1-3 Belgium
The third quarter ends with Belgium in the ascendancy once more, but Britain are somewhat saved by the whistle with their defence creaking.
Plenty of work to do to salvage something in this one. 15 minutes remain.
Men's road race - 76.3km to go
It's an absolute grind this road race route. They started four hours ago and still have at least 90 minutes to go - and there's plenty of climbing to be done as they pound into a three-lap loop of Circuit Vista Chinesa.
Dutchman Wout Poels, who is usually a gladiator for Chris Froome in Team Sky, has dropped off the back of the peloton.
The six-man breakaway group is 2mins up the road - it's not a worrying gap for the favourites.

That's the spirit Kate!
What else are people doing to replicate the Olympics from home? I always like to test my hand throwing teabags into my mug before I make a brew.
'GB can be happy'
Chris Boardman
Olympic cycling champion
I think GB can be very happy. I'm a bit disappointed that Steve Cummings has had to do so much work. GB have options with Adam Yates, Chris Froome and Geraint Thomas. Thomas seems to be looking after Froome but I hope he can have a go himself if the opportunity arises.
GB men 1-3 Belgium
We're back under way in the hockey, and Belgium have started the third quarter on fire.
First, Tanguy Cosyns lashed in after a penalty corner to give his side the lead, before Simon Gougnard jinked through the British defence to score a third.

Edmund a break up
Britain's Kyle Edmund has made a chipper start to life in the Olympics. He's a break up against Australia's Jordan Thompson, leading the first set 4-2.
Men's road race - 86.9km to go
Chris Boardman
Olympic cycling champion
It has moved on quite significantly this peloton, there is plenty of room to move and shelter from the wind.
Men's quadruple sculls
James Cracknell
Double Olympic Rowing gold medalist
Being a scratch crew, every problem is magnified.
They haven’t been able to row together for that sustained length of time.
Men's quadruple scull heats
It was a tough heat for the Great British boys in the men's quadruple scull heats, finishing fourth - but they can still go through in the repechage.
The team of Jack Beaumont, Sam Townsend, Peter Lambert and Angus Groom hadn't rowed together regularly in the build-up to Rio, with Beaumont a late call-up to the team.
Australia and Poland took the qualification places.
GB men 1-1 Belgium men
It's an equaliser for Britain's men, and just before half-time.
And it's a beauty from Nickolas Catlin, who runs out of space on tight angle with his backhand, so he cuts back and unleashes a shot into the net from the left side of the area.
Men's road race - 95.6km to go
Bit of action for the Britons as Adam Yates scrambles back into the peloton.
And Chris Froome has needed a bike change, no sign of him legging it up a hill while he waits for the replacement though.
The gap to the six breakaway riders is down to 1min 25secs with 95.6km to go.
Check out the view across the beach. Beautiful.

Just been speaking to Pete Beaumont, a former Great Britain rowing Olympian and father of Jack Beaumont, who was called up to the GB men's quadruple sculls crew after Graeme Thomas's late withdrawal through illness.
Peter, who was part of the men's eight who came fourth in the 1988 Olympics, admits he's been through the emotional ringer this week after taking his son to the airport not knowing if he was going to Rio as backup cover or to try and emulate his achievements in Seoul.
Peter told BBC Sport: "He phoned me up from Rio, and said he couldn’t sleep because he found out he was racing but he was also super upset because it was one of his best friends who’s dropped out. I must admit that as a former Olympian and as a father I’ve shed a few tears this week thinking about it all.
After Jack recovered from a serious back injury last year, which put his career in jeopardy, Peter added: "As soon as you find out your son is racing, the hairs on the back of your neck start tickling. You remember the pride you had as an athlete to sit on starting line of an Olympic final. To think your son is going to do that and hopefully do better, was super exciting and very, very emotional."
GB men 0-1 Belgium men
Urgh. The blue carpet of the hockey field has a few splashes of crimson on it as Belgium's Sebastien Dockier takes the ball to the face. Nasty.
Makes me shudder thinking back to those rock-hard hockey balls at school.
He gets up on his feet but will have to go off.
The second quarter starts, with Belgium leading 1-0.

Andy Murray, Great Britain's opening ceremony flag bearer, is on his way to the practice courts.
"Andy! Andy!" screams one fan making his way to Centre Court. The world number two turns around and waves his raquet. He's a popular guy around these parts. "Gold medal!" The fan screams.
Johanna Konta, Britain's female number one, has just finished her practice session. She plays in the doubles with Heather Watson later on.
Mmm, mmm.
That is a beauty of a paint job.
Liam Phillips will have plenty of time to admire it in its pristine state as well. The BMX does not start until Wednesday 17 August.
GB men 0-1 Belgium men
India have just beaten Ireland 4-3 in Pool B of the men's hockey, which puts them top of the group after Argentina and the Netherlands drew earlier.
That means it's time for the GB men to get their Olympics on and they do it against world number six Belgium in Pool A.
They're already 1-0 down as they come to the end of the first period.
World number one Australia and eighth ranked New Zealand are the other group members - so, to get all cliched on you, there's no easy games.
Swimming
Seven Brits will be competing as heats begin from 17:00 BST, with four gold medals to be decided in the evening session from 02:00.
James Guy, Stephen Milne, Adam Peaty (below), Ross Murdoch, Max Litchfield, Hannah Miley and Aimee Willmott are the Brits to watch out for.
