    A long wait...

Adam Peaty is 1/100 to win tonight. An absolute nailed on certainty. Cast iron.

If he gets wet, he wins.

And it isn't very often that a British man wins gold in the pool.

The last male gold medallist was Adrian Moorhouse who claimed the 100m Breaststroke crown in Seoul 1988.

The last Freestyle medallist was David Davies in Athens 2004 who won a bronze medal in the 1500m.

    Mark Hunter
    Olympic rowing champion in Rio

I’ve never seen anything like it on a course before, the wind is just whipping through.

In the warm up this morning, sculls were sinking. I’ve never seen that before.

When you start playing catch up to get races done, that’s when it starts getting worrying.

The rowing was abandoned for the day earlier due to high winds.

The dressage in the eventing was completed today and none of today's riders were able to unseat Britain's William Fox-Pitt at the top of the standings.

The 47-year-old was in an induced coma 10 months ago - it really is a remarkable story.

As for the other Britons - Pippa Funnell is 16th, Kitty King 26th and Gemma Tattersall 32nd with the cross country coming up tomorrow.

Abbie Brown scored a brace as GB women booked their place in the semi-finals of the rugby sevens.

And Brown said that Sunday's improvement came because the team had "settled" after feeling nerves on the first day.

"It is an Olympics, the nerves are going to hit," she said.

"We have shown everyone today with Canada and Fiji, we have done ourselves justice."

USA's women set an Olympic record - of sorts - earlier.

Their 121-56 win over Senegal was the largest margin of victory in the women's event, surpassing a record previously set at the Atlanta 1996 Olympic Games when they beat DR Congo 107-47.

It turns out Americans are quite good at basketball. Who knew?

    Murray not feeling the pressure

Andy Murray could win his second Olympic gold in Rio. He beat Serbia's Viktor Troicki 6-3 6-2 in the opening round today.

"I'm not defending a gold medal. I will always keep my gold medal. That will always be there, you don't have to give it away," he said.

"So, it's more trying to win another medal - that builds the pressure and wanting to do something here. It's sort of the pressure I am putting on myself. I'm not thinking about four years ago. It was an amazing experience for me.

"Having the Olympics come so soon after Wimbledon for me, it may have been easy to have a bit of a lull, but that's not going to happen with the Olympics. I hope to make a run here."
