So far, so good for Nick Dempsey who leads the men's RS:X windsurfing after seven races.

And it isn't looking too shabby for Great Britain's Nicola Groves and Ben Saxton, either. They lead the Mixed Nacra 17 class after four out of 12 races. Still two more races left for them today to build on their two point lead.

Golf is back at the Olympic Games for the first time since 1904, and the men have been out completing their first rounds today.

The early leader is Australia's Marcus Fraser, who carded nine birdies in a round of 63, finishing eight under par.

Britain's 2016 Masters winner Danny Willett finished level par on 71.

Compatriot Justin Rose is currently three under par at the 17th, but the real story of his round has been the first hole-in-one in an Olympic golf competition.

Fiona Pennie couldn't quite produce but she's been gutsy in fighting back from missing 2012 to get this close. An early penalty was a bit sloppy and then it's always catch up, especially when the Spanish paddler has set such a brilliant run.

Still, Pennie as she crosses the line can be proud. Sixth in an Olympic Games is still something.

So, after a breathless half hour, where are we up to?

Andy Murray is battling back against Fabio Fognini, but Fiona Pennie has missed out on a medal in the women's K1.

The big news from a GB perspective is that the men's sevens team are through to the final and will meet Fiji for gold at 23:00.

Their win over South Africa was sealed with this try...

    Fognini 1-6 6-2 3-2 Murray

Bad news for Fiona Pennie, but some long awaited good news for Andy Murray. He stops the rot against Fabio Fognini, breaking the Italian to get back on serve in the decider. Trademark punch of the air, roar to wake the dead from the defending champ.
