    It's all over in Saitama and Mexico take the men's football bronze medal.

    The Japanese players drop to their knees as the final whistle blows. They gave it everything, but goals from Sebastian Cordova, Johan Vasquez and Alexis Vega won it for El Tri.

    Kaoru Mitoma scored decent goal in the 78th minute for the hosts, but it's little more than a consolation as Mexico win their fourth medal of the Games.

    Some news to bring you about the women's marathon...

    The race was due to start in Tokyo at 7am on Saturday (23:00 BST, Friday) but has been brought forward by an hour because of the expected high temperatures tomorrow.

    "Having taken advice from World Athletic’s medical team and reviewed all other considerations, World Athletics (WA), the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the Tokyo 2020 Organising Committee had a series of discussions today and confirmed the schedule change," said a statement from the Games organisers.

    "All team officials will be asked to inform their athletes of the conditions so they are able to pace themselves during the race."

    Japan have a goal back in the men's football bronze medal match.

    Kaoru Mitoma finds the back of the net with a lovely bit of play. He takes a touch on the edge of the box, skips past the defenders and fires it into the back of the net.

    It took 78 minutes for the hosts to get on the scoresheet. They have a mountain to climb if they want to take this to extra-time.
