Last person across the line is eliminated. You have a little red box on your handlebars that flashes to let you know you have been taken out.

This is Laura Kenny's favourite event, she is the best rider in the world - male or female - in terms of her tactics and the way she rides this event.

You need great handling skills and once again you have got to stay out of trouble because crashes do happen quite frequently.

Jason Kenny is coming into form just at the right time.

We have said it time and time again, he is like a big cat in the Serengeti who just lays around and waits until he gets hungry and sees his pray and then he becomes this animal.

It looked like the Kenny of old, he is looking better and better as this competition goes on. The last couple of the races are the best we have seen of him at these Olympic Games.

It could be good or bad with both British athletes in the first semi-final.

It depends on how they choose to ride, back in the day if I had Ross Edgar in the same heat we would have a strategy that would work together to benefit both of us.

Equally, you can overthink it and have a game plan that messes it up for both of you.

It is the perfect response from Kenny. It will settle her nerves, and made sure there is no injury niggles or problems with the bike.

That is the right way to bounce back from the crash.

Kenny took that one and she will be pleased. It was a very controlled performance, she waited in the middle part of the event and then scored towards the end.

Excellent work from Laura Kenny as the defending champion chips away nicely at the points deficit caused by that first-race crash. She wins the tempo race with seven sprint points.
