Matty Bowen gets his arms free to do a few little fist pumps in front of Wigan fans after going over. Then as he steps away he cradles the ball.

    Interesting private celebration, that one.

Having looked in control at the interval, Leeds have been rocked by Wigan's superb start to the second half and the Rhinos now find themselves behind.

If ever there was a time for those experienced heads - Sinfield, Peacock, McGuire, Leuluai - to grasp that control back, it's now.

That was just individual brilliance. That was all Matty Bowen, there was nobody else involved in that, he was absolutely lightning on his feet.

In his last appearance as a rugby league player, Matty Bowen scores one of THE great Grand Final tries.

Former Australia international Bowen darts through a series of Leeds tacklers and touches down under the posts, sparking scenes of wild jubilation from the supporters in cherry and white.

Wigan looked dead and buried at half-time, but a moment of magic has put them in front.

It's game on again. Leeds are going to have put out the fire that has ignited in Wigan, because they've started this second half very well.

Now then, we've got a game on here!

Wigan half-back George Williams keeps the play alive with a good offload and captain Sean O'Loughlin puts in a high kick out to the right touchline, where Dom Manfredi jumps above Ryan Hall to grasp the ball and bring Wigan right back into this Grand Final.

It's just what the game needed.

Kylie Leuluai, one of Leeds' departing trio, concedes a penalty for a high shot on a Wigan player.

Matty Smith puts in a beauty of a grubber kick under the posts and, under pressure from George Williams, Kevin Sinfield dabs it behind for a goal-line dropout.

When the second half got under way, the Wigan fans were so quiet that those in the press box could hear the claps of a just committed small band of Warriors supporters.

The others are just waiting in almost silent anticipation, it seems.

A couple of knock-ons in the opening two minutes of the second half, one from each side. A fractured start to the second period.

Leeds team-mate Kallum Watkins reached a century of tries with a late score in the Rhinos' semi-final win over St Helens eight days ago.

Can Zak Hardaker repeat the feat at Old Trafford?

The newly-crowned Man of Steel hasn't had too many chances thus far, but it was he supplied the pass for Joel Moon's try which put Leeds ahead for the first time in this Grand Final.

Now that the domestic season is almost at a conclusion, attentions will soon turn to the international game.

England host New Zealand in a three-match Test series in November - you can watch all three games live on the BBC.

The Kiwis have notched some important victories over Steve McNamara's side over the past couple of years, winning a World Cup semi-final at Wembley in 2013 and then knocking England out of last year's Four Nations tournament.

Grand Finals are about taking opportunities. I can only count on one hand the chances that Leeds have had, but when they've had those chances they have been immaculate with their execution.

    Don't write Wigan off, though.

Head coach Shaun Wane is a fighter, and he'll demand a stirring effort from his team in the second period.

Two years ago, they trailed Warrington 16-2 in the Grand Final and scored 28 unanswered points to win the title. Something similar would do very nicely for Warriors fans.

Wigan, in their third successive Grand Final, made a flying start and went ahead early through Joe Burgess.

But back came treble-seeking Leeds to take a 10-point lead into the interval.

Danny McGuire's brace of tries sandwiched a debatable Joel Moon effort, as Leeds notched 16 points without reply.

The hard work has been done in the first half, and it's theirs to lose.

Danny McGuire is playing in his eighth Grand Final. He's won six of the previous seven he's appeared in.

Back in 2004, he scored a try as Leeds ended a 32-year wait to be champions.

Eleven years on, he's put his side on the verge of a first domestic treble in his club's history.
