    Dom Manfredi

    THERE'S YOUR GRAND FINAL.

Dom Manfredi, one of Shaun Wane's great success stories, shrugs off a horrific eye injury to score his second of the match and secures the title for Wigan.

It was a big shift to the right, Tommy Leuluai took it right into the teeth of the Warrington defence and out the back to Sam Tomkins...

He delayed his pass perfectly and Manfredi got on the outside of the winger Tom Lineham to settle it. Wigan have this in the bag.

    Wigan 8-4 Warrington

It's an awkward, grinding game which makes you squirm in your seat. There is palpable tension, tangible nerves.

Wigan work their way into the 20, ball flows across field before going in behind.

Josh Charnley collects the ball and heads forward but a double tackle leaves him in a painful position.

Play-on. Fewer than five to play!

    Wigan 8-4 Warrington

Warrington go 90 metres on the last and Wigan have to come away from their end of the field.

It's sapping to watch, desperate at times. Nervy times even for neutrals.

    Wigan 8-4 Warrington

Rare raid in recent times as Wigan stem the Warrington flow for a set and have a go themselves.

Sam Tomkins is happy to take the tackle, soaked up deep in Warrington's end.

It gives the Primrose and Blue a 90 metre task of scoring. Just to get to the line that is.

Wigan miss from the tee, Sam Tomkins yet to land one. However, it's a 20-metre drop-out and Wigan will retrieve the ball.

    NINE TO GO.

If the shoe had been on the other foot and they'd have been up by four points, there's no way Ben Murdoch-Masila would have even tried to get that pass away.

But they're at that point now where they've got to play desperate, they've got to play hot and they've got to keep that ball alive. At this point, however, it's come to their detriment.

Warrington have got to keep knocking on the door and it will eventually come down because Wigan are on the back foot hugely - it's just weather they can execute that one play.

    Wigan 8-4 Warrington

There are some tired bodies out there.

Warrington go away down that left edge and Tom Lineham rolls a clever, low, bobbling kick into the Wigan backline.

Sam Tomkins is equal to it, gummy-esque fingers of a slip-fielder draw the ball in.

Wigan now have a penalty, 45 metres out... will they kick? Warrington coach Steve Price looks furious and frustrated in equal measure.

Tyrone Roberts limps around at the scrum as Wigan shovel the ball away.

Declan Patton, a skilled half-cum-hooker, is on for Warrington. He'll relish this shot to save his team's night.

Just about sums it up perfectly. Less than 13 minutes to play.

    Wigan 8-4 Warrington

Warrington put on a sublime inside-outside combination after Tyrone Roberts scorches away and finds Ben Murdoch-Masila... but a forced pass in a decent position goes forward and brings the attack to a sad end.

Wolves passing up the chances. Wigan just happy to get the ball back.

Tyrone Roberts in a bit of trouble. Will his Warrington career be creeping to an abrupt and early end?

Morgan Escare makes a linebreak! Completely outnumbered!

Then the play comes back to Escare and he goes for a drop goal but skews it horribly wide.

Stefan Ratchford was the roadblock there to the speedy Frenchman.

    Wigan 8-4 Warrington

Warrington hit Wigan out on the left, it was absorbed without incident. They worked it to the opposite side, and even when it looks like they've executed an overlap, the Wigan wall just slides across to shut it down.

The knock-on that came to Wigan's rescue was a disappointingly slack way to finish a decent set.

    Wigan 8-4 Warrington

Warrington almost get the battering-ram back-row Ben Murdoch-Masila away down the right and the flurry to stop him results in a penalty.

Set of six for the Wire - right in the red zone!

    Wigan 8-4 Warrington

Inside the final quarter here. Wigan snaffle a loose ball as Warrington's last tackle play comes to nothing.

For all their graft, there's not a lot of genuine quality.

Warrington get the ball back in midfield but fail to work a decent free-play. Scrum for the Wire.

Has anyone got the composure to slow things down and find a real chink in the Wigan armour?

Not a single point in this second-half so far, not for the want of trying. It's been like waves on a shore, rolling up the beach before being turned away.

Sam Tomkins takes the sting out of things with a sizzling low kick to touch.

Dom Manfredi has had the stitches applied to that horrid gash from earlier and bandages too. He's back out. Wigan need the numbers!
