Another change for Scotland as Dougie Fife is replaced by Saracens centre Duncan Taylor. Just over 10 minutes remaining. Can Scotland restore any pride?

  2. Postpublished at 16:13 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2014

A rare Scotland surge deep into Wales territory. But their afternoon to forget is summed up when Chris Cusiter decides to kick the ball instead of passing it over to debutant Dougie Fife, and a chance of a first Scottish try vanishes.

  3. Wales 44-3 Scotlandpublished at 16:08 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2014

James Tonkinson:, external This is turning into one of those school-boy games that would've been called early to spare further embarrassing the other team.

Howard Horner:, external If this were a boxing match, the ref would have stopped it a long, long time ago. Getting rather painful to watch this.

Megan Birtill:, external Anything that can go wrong for Scotland has gone wrong.

Into the final quarter. Wales had only scored four tries in four games before this match but now have 10 for the tournament after this blitz. The Scots replace Greig Laidlaw with Chris Cusiter.

  5. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:04 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2014

The last thing Scotland want is fresh Welsh legs. And here they come. Adam Jones, Paul James and Richard Hibbard come on for Rhodri Jones, Gethin Jenkins and Ken Owens, respectively.

Scotland's travelling fans continue to sing but there will be a long inquest into this dire showing by their team. This is not the farewell interim head coach Scott Johnson had dreamed about. And Wales are not done yet.

    Robert Jones
Former Wales scrum-half on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

"It is as easy as that. Wales are getting balls away in the contact area, they are brushing aside tackles. This latest try was just a matter of time. If you hold onto the ball against a side that are down to 14 men it is almost impossible not to score again. Wales are playing with great confidence."

    Jonathan Davies
    Former Wales fly-half

"This is too easy. Even with a man short you cannot allow offloads. Only 52 minutes gone, that's only the worst part for Scotland."

  9. TRY - Faletau (missed con Dan Biggar)published at 15:56 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2014

This is too easy. Taulupe Faletau is waiting on the right wing to receive Alun Wyn Jones' pass as an overlap proves Scotland's downfall again. Even with 14 players, there is no excuse for this capitulation.

    Jonathan Davies
    Former Wales fly-half

"That is an absolutely magnificent try. Again, coming from a Scottish mistake in the line-out. Great width on the passing and acceleration from Liam Williams. They were all waiting - even Ken Owens the hooker was there. Another magnificent offload by Faletau and a great try."

    Robert Jones
Former Wales scrum-half on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

"Fantastic stuff. Liam Williams has been a breath of fresh air. He is without doubt a better attacking threat than Leigh Halfpenny. He is so creative, he can look inside or out. As soon as he got that ball he was off. He knew exactly what he wanted to do."

  12. TRY - Jamie Roberts (con Dan Biggar)published at 15:51 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2014

Seven minutes into the second half and Wales have already 12 points to their score. This time Scotland pay the price from a lost line out. Sam Warburton steals the ball and Liam Williams rampages forward. His offload goes to Taulupe Faletau, and Jamie Roberts is well placed to go over as Wales show no mercy.

The record books are out at the Millennium Stadium. Wales' biggest ever winning margin over Scotland is 24 points - a 46-22 win in 2005 at Murrayfield.

    Robert Jones
Former Wales scrum-half on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

"That is just simple rugby from Wales but the accuracy of the passes and the execution of the skill levels is great. If Wales keep the ball this could be a horrendous 40 minutes for Scottish rugby, perhaps the worst they have had. This could be embarrassing."

    Robert Jones
Former Wales scrum-half on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

"George North has probably 10 years of international rugby to go and he is such a threat already at 21. His try-scoring ability is second to none and the try-scoring record is within his sights."

  16. Postpublished at 15:49 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2014

    Jonathan Davies
    Former Wales fly-half

"This is now all a matter of pride for Scotland. They have to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in. They didn't number up or shuffle across for that try.

"You have to work a lot harder defensively. Once the penalty was given, you can't go hiding at the short side. They have to respond positively and work harder than they've ever worked or this is going to be a drubbing."

  17. TRY - George North (missed con Dan Biggar)published at 15:44 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2014

The second half is just 58 seconds old when George North goes over on the left wing to extend Scotland's agony after another free-flowing move. There is little comfort for the visitors as Dan Biggar misses the resulting kick.

  18. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 15:43 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2014

Scotland respond to a first half battering by bringing on prop Euan Murray for Geoff Cross. We're back under way.

  19. Postpublished at 15:41 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2014

    Martyn Williams
Former Wales captain on BBC One

"You have to give Wales a lot of credit because sometimes when a team goes down to 14 men it can get quite difficult [to play against them]. They've been clinical and it could get messy."

  20. Wales 27-3 Scotlandpublished at 15:41 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2014

BBC Sport Wales' Richard Williams at the Millennium Stadium: "A disastrous first half for Scotland who have not won in Cardiff since 2002 and face another two years waiting after Stuart Hogg's out-of-character shoulder charge on Dan Biggar earned him a red card. The question appears to be how many Wales will score against the 14 Scotsmen in the second half."
