    Former Scotland scrum-half

"Wales have very good players at broken field situation. It was a massive issue, the red card, it clearly was the pivotal moment. When I watched it live, I thought it was bad. When it was shown as a replay, it's the fact that Stuart Hogg catches Dan Bigger in the face. If it was shoulder-to-shoulder it would have been a yellow. It's a rush of blood which has put his team in a terrible, terrible position."

    Robert Jones
Former Wales scrum-half on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

"As long as Wales keep the ball in hand they know they will open Scotland up. Scotland have not got the numbers. Wales have opened up an almighty gap and what do you say to a side that are down at half-time like this? Scotland are working hard but not getting the rewards. I don't see any way back for them now, Wales will kick on and I think this will be one of the hardest 40 minutes for Scotland. Wales will want to prove a point to the Welsh supporters here that they are back on track."

  4. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:30 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2014

All too easy for Wales as Scotland's awful tournament continues. Surely they cannot come back from this, can they?

  5. TRY - Jamie Roberts (con Biggar)published at 15:28 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2014

This is getting very messy for Scotland. After a tournament of mixed fortunes, Wales continue to take out their frustration on their hapless opponents. George North and Jonathan Davies show electric pace before the latter offloads to Jamie Roberts to go over. Dan Biggar continues his impressive kicking record.

  6. NO TRYpublished at 15:27 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2014

Huge relief for Scotland as the television match official rules out a Wales try for off side. The interval cannot come soon enough for the Scots.

  7. Postpublished at 15:25 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2014

    Jonathan Davies
    Former Wales fly-half

"What an offload by Liam Williams and great support play by Mike Phillips and George North. I have to say, I wouldn't have fancied being in Dave Denton's shoes, he had absolutely no chance with George North steaming at him. It's a big six minutes for Scotland now. They have to hang on and regroup."

  8. TRY - George North (con Biggar)published at 15:22 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2014

Fantastic take by Liam Williams who collects a high kick before surging down the left win. The full-back slips, but Mike Phillips is on hand to collect the offload, with George North going over the line. Dan Biggar does the rest. Superb stuff.

There were audible groans around the Millennium Stadium when the replay of Hogg's challenge on Biggar was shown. Does his dismissal end Scotland's hopes?

Mike Watkins:, external Cheap shot from Hogg. No place for that in rugby.

Jonathan Marshall:, external Disgusting tackle by Stuart Hogg - Definitely a red card! Good 2nd decision by the ref.

Kevin Crighton:, external It was a definite red card offence from Hogg, no doubt, but I didn't know the ref could change his decision that way.

"You can't miss those kicks at international level. He's in for his kicking and he has got to nail them."

  11. MISSED PENALTYpublished at 15:20 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2014

Scotland are desperately trying to compose themselves after finding themselves a man down. They get a chance to reduce the deficit after the hosts go into the ruck off their feet. But Greig Laidlaw can't take advantage and it's another wasted opportunity for the Scots.

  12. Wales 13-3 Scotlandpublished at 15:14 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2014

    Robert Jones
Former Wales scrum-half on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

"That's a ridiculous decision by Stuart Hogg. He is a great rugby footballer and Scotland are going to be under huge pressure now. A huge game for the 14 they have left. You lose your leader, the man you look up to and then the key attacking threat you have gets himself sent off. Scotland have to dig deep otherwise it is going to be a long afternoon for them."

  13. Postpublished at 15:13 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2014

    Jonathan Davies
    Former Wales fly-half

"Stuart Hogg is not a dirty player and he had time to pull out of that, but he led with the shoulder and that's a clear red card and the right decision, a brave decision. That is going to cause huge problems for Scotland. Almost 60 minutes to go with a man short."

  14. PENALTY - Biggarpublished at 15:13 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2014

It's all going horribly wrong for Scotland, who are down to 14 players with just under an hour to go. Biggar, having been victim of Hogg's ugly challenge, dusts himself down to send over the resulting penalty. Wales are cruising.

  15. RED CARDpublished at 15:12 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2014

Astonishing scenes at the Millennium Stadium. Dan Biggar is victim of an awful challenge by Stuart Hogg. The referee initially shows a yellow card but, having seen the replay, changes his mind and shows the Scotland full-back a red. There are audible groans around the Millennium Stadium when the replay of Hogg's challenge on Biggar is shown on the big screen. Ugly.

  16. Postpublished at 15:09 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2014

BBC Sport Wales' Richard Williams at the Millennium Stadium: "If people were expecting a different approach from Wales they are disappointed. But the power game is proving easier for the Welsh to execute against the Scots than it was against England and Ireland. And the gap eventually came out wide after the battering through the middle."

    Jonathan Davies
    Former Wales fly-half

"Very very good ball carrying by all the welsh ball carriers. They committed the Scottish defence and eventually the Scots ran out of numbers. It was all about powerful running."

  19. TRY - Williams (con Biggar)published at 15:02 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2014

First try for Wales for Liam Williams as the Scarlets full-back pounces in the left corner unchallenged after Dan Biggar's pass leaves Scotland too stretched. Biggar kicks to establish a seven-point lead. Leigh Halfpenny's absence is not hurting the hosts. Not yet, anyway.

  20. MISSED PENALTYpublished at 15:01 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2014

Opportunity missed for Scotland as Laidlaw wastes a kickable penalty out on the left touchline as Wales struggle to find any tempo. Lots of mistakes. Very scrappy so far.
