    Jonathan Davies
    Former Wales fly-half

"The idea was good but the execution was poor by Wales. It was a free play with Wales having the penalty. The difference at the moment is that when Wales have the ball they go over the gain line, whereas Scotland struggle to do that."

  2. PENALTY - Biggarpublished at 14:56 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2014

All level as Dan Biggar shows his radar is working. Worrying times for the Scots as Kelly Brown is forced off the field after taking a knee to the head, replaced by Alasdair Strokosch. Will the visiting captain return?

  3. Postpublished at 14:56 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2014

Wales respond well to falling behind and are testing the Scottish defence. Captain Kelly Brown leads from the front as he puts his body on the line just as the hosts look to go over. Wales have a penalty chance from short range.

  4. Wales 0-3 Scotlandpublished at 14:53 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2014

So how will this one shape up? Nothing but pride on the line, so who can raise their game to end the 2014 Six Nations campaign on a high?

Dai Trembath:, external Just don't get the Warburton obsession by Gatland. Tipuric should be starting. Much more effective.

Aynsley Gray:, external I hope Wales win because they were the best at singing.

  5. PENALTY - Laidlawpublished at 14:50 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2014

And Scotland are up and running on the scoreboard. Greig Laidlaw has struggled for consistency with his kicking this tournament but the 28-year-old puts his side ahead from 35 metres out after the Welsh defence is penalised.

  6. Postpublished at 14:49 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2014

Scotland's interim head coach Scott Johnson takes a slurp of tea and settles back into his seat for what is his last game in charge before he moves to a new role as SRU director of rugby. He will be pleased with his side's bright start. Liam Williams is penalised for not releasing the ball after going to ground. Scotland kick to the Welsh five-metre line.

  7. Postpublished at 14:47 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2014

And off we go. A huge roar goes up and Dan Biggar gets us started with a kick straight to Max Evans.

  8. Postpublished at 14:45 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2014

Who said this match is of little importance? Their team might not be in the running for any silverware, but the people of Wales have turned up in force to support their team. The roof is closed at the Millennium Stadium and the national anthems are under way. We're almost set to go. . .

  9. Wales v Scotland (14:45 GMT)published at 14:44 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2014

    Shane Williams
Former Wales winger on BBC One

"It was a slow start against Italy but a win which covered cracks. Our tactics seemed to be found out against the Irish and the display against England was just not clinical enough. Certainly Wales will have to play far better today against this Scotland side."

  11. From top points scorer to hospitalpublished at 14:41 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2014

Wales international Leigh HalfpennyImage source, @LeighHalfpenny1

He started the final weekend as the tournament's top points scorer, but Wales full-back Leigh Halfpenny will be watching his team's game with Scotland from a hospital bed after dislocating a shoulder in the defeat by England last weekend. The 25-year-old will be out for action for up to 16 weeks and will miss Wales' summer tour to South Africa. But the scorer of 51 points during this Championship - two more than Ireland's Jonathan Sexton - seems in good spirits after posting this photograph on his Twitter account., external

  12. Wales v Scotland (14:45)published at 14:39 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2014

    Martyn Williams
Former Wales captain on BBC One

"Maybe Wales are a bit fatigued. I think it's more emotional than physical - the mental side of it. They came up against sides in Ireland and England who had a lots more to prove and were right on the edge emotionally where as Wales weren't."

  13. From McDonald's to Wales' record cap holderpublished at 14:37 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2014

    Gethin JenkinsImage source, Getty Images

Gethin Jenkins becomes Wales's most capped player when he runs out at the Millennium Stadium. The three-times Grand Slam winner will win his 105th cap, overtaking former Scarlets fly-half Stephen Jones at the top of Wales' all-time appearance chart.

But the 33-year-old prop's place in the record books seemed a distant dream when he was a youth player at Pontypridd in 1999.

Gareth Rogers, Jenkins's team-mate in the youth team, tells Wales Online:, external "Sixteen years after we first met, I'm still finding it hard to believe that the burger eating, cider swilling monster I used to pack down with is now Wales' record cap holder. He spent hours talking about his dreams of playing for Wales and the Lions before heading off to his part-time job at McDonald's."

  14. Stat attackpublished at 14:35 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2014

Scotland have lost 10 of their last 11 Tests against Wales and have not won in Cardiff since 2002.

A victory would be the first time in 11 years they have won two games in successive Six Nations seasons.

If Wales lose, it will be their worst season since 2010, when they last lost three games.

Thanks Aimee. The champagne might be on ice in the England dressing room in Rome but there is little bubbly on display at the Millennium Stadium as Warren Gatland's side look to avoid their worst tournament since 2010, when they last lost three games.

A year ago Cardiff roared as Wales stormed to back-to-back Championship titles after a 30-3 victory over England. Fast forward 12 months and defeats by England and Ireland may have cost the Red Dragons an historic third successive Six Nations, but there is still pride at stake for both teams in the Welsh capital. Can Wales end the tournament on a high? Can Scotland finish Scott Johnson's reign on a winning note and avoid the Wooden Spoon? All will be revealed.

  16. Postpublished at 14:30 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2014

It's time for us to turn our attention to Cardiff where Wales are getting ready to take on Scotland. The winner of this match won't win the title, but they will at least finish on a high. My colleague Neil Johnston is at his keyboard and is ready to guide you through the action.

  17. Postpublished at 14:29 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2014

Owen Seago:, external Lancaster's vision is starting to become reality, even Farrell looks like he is starting to play. But please, stop substituting.

Miss J:, external I have never cheered for France in my life. I will be this evening.

Tom Miszkowski:, external Good performance from England, not quite enough to overhaul Ireland. Like most of England I will be supporting the French come 5pm.

Alex Kirk:, external If Ireland win this afternoon they deserve it but we will take the World Cup!

  18. Postpublished at 14:27 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2014

Man of the match Mike Brown: "It is disappointing but first and foremost we wanted to put in a good performance and get the win which we did. We played outstanding and all credit to the guys for the performance today."

  19. Postpublished at 14:24 Greenwich Mean Time 15 March 2014

England head coach Stuart Lancaster: "We scored some great tries and came here and scored 50, not many teams do that. I am proud of the boys. We were not quite in our shape in the first half, there were some errors but you have a Sunday to Saturday turnaround, Twelvetrees hasn't trained all week, so it was tough. But we have a great squad developing and I am very proud. Overall we take the bigger picture - the Scotland, Ireland and Wales performances and I don't think many teams will come here and win like this. Things don't always go your way. Italy are a very proud side and they were not going to give it up easily."
