Old school. Twelve of Scotland's 14 men get involved in a monster of a rolling maul. Wales stop it just short but they are camped on their own line.
Jonathan Davies
Former Wales fly-half on BBC One
"If the referee's being consistent it is a yellow, but the difference is he was competing for the ball, but Russell wasn't."
The referee finds he has painted himself into a corner. After dispatching Finn Russell to the bin for taking out Dan Biggar in the air, he decides he had no choice but to do the same when Jonathan Davies clumsily blunders into an airbourne Johnnie Beattie.
If Russell hadn't been shown yellow, I'm pretty sure Daveis wouldn't have been. It was not that bad in isolation.
Fourteen play 14 anyway.

Former Wales fly-half on BBC One
"It's so easy, two passes because everyone is cantering around the tackler and there is space on the other side of the field. Great pass from Alun Wyn Jones, and good vision from Jonathan Davies to block the defender."
Gavin Hastings
Former Scotland full-back on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra
"That was a magnificent Welsh try. There was a turnover that happened, the ball went loose and quickly recycled. Wales were playing the numbers game, a super try. it is about playing the rugby that is in front of you."
Scotland, a man down, pour forward, making ground, but when they are turned over, there are short of numbers out wide.
Liam Williams streaks away, draws the cover and pops the ball inside to Rhys Webb who rounds under the sticks.
No mistake from there. Leigh Halfpenny clips over to cut the gap to one point.

"Stuart Hogg came forward to try and catch the ball as Dan Biggar was chasing. The ball seemed to come back towards Biggar and Finn Russell wasn't even looking to tackle him. He turned his back, there is nothing malicious in that. I don't even think it's a penalty."
Jonathan Davies
Former Wales fly-half on BBC One
"This always happens, Mr Angry comes out but there is never going to be a punch thrown because you can't! But that is a penalty and a yellow card, that is dangerous - a yellow card and off."

"Finn Russell was initially too far back, he had to make up too much ground and could not stop himself from making contact."
Ouch!
Wales' Dan Biggar soars into the sky to superbly claim a snowy up and under into the Scotland 22-metre. He is brought crashing to earth though as Finn Russell misjudges his challenge and upends Biggar as he crouches below the fly-half.
It is an ugly look, but probably not malicious. Yellow for Russell, penalty bang in front and Biggar is back up and walking,

"Wales have a lot of space to exploit and as a back I'd be looking to do that to get into this game."
Stuart Hogg's got a lot of glitter to his game, but sometimes the nitty-gritty details are not all they could be.
The Scotland full-back fails to find his touch from inside his own 22-metre and Leigh Halfpenny runs the ball back with interest.
A net loss of territory for the hosts, but their defence is holding very strong.
Turnover! Scotland's forwards swarm around the ball-catcher as soon as he returns to terra firma and Wales have not organised swiftly enough.
No forward momentum and, with the ball failing to make it to ground, the scrum goes the hosts' way.
Scotland pull down the rolling maul. Ref Glen Jackson awards the penalty and Dan Biggar wallops into the corner once again.
Wales want five points, not three.
BBC Sport's Sara Orchard at The Stoop: "England look on course for victory as Worcester's Ceri Large scores their third try. However England have butchered plenty of chances in this second half and a better opposition might not let the score line look as flattering as the Italians have allowed. 70 minutes have been played."
This is a humdinger so far.
Dan Biggar punts right into the Scottish corner from a penalty and Richard Hibbard finds Alun Wyn Jones from the resulting line-out.
Scotland stretched and Wales rumbling...

"It is all about attitude. The players have to realise that if there is an opportunity to score, they need to push hard. It was a good riposte from Scotland.
"I want to see a couple of tries in this game so it opens up. Both teams are capable of doing that from anywhere. I want it to be a fast and loose."
