    Jonathan Davies
Former Wales fly-half on BBC One

"That's unlucky for Finn Russell, it was a very good kick but he's slightly unlucky it did not roll to the touchline."

The dead-ball areas at Murrayfield are yawning chasms, acres and acres to punt into and chase, but there is still not enough space from Finn Russell's kick to stay in play. It bobbles dead and Wales have a scrum back up at halfway.

    A bit wasteful from Russell.

"Nice to see Wales centre Jamie Roberts getting the ball early, I think it was 55 minutes before we saw him last week."

Wales are already showing plenty of intent to play with quick phases and big runners. Jamie Roberts and Jonathan Davies have already ploughed into contact, but the latter gets isolated from his forwards and the penalty goes Scotland's way for hanging on...

"Not the best start. I can never understand why teams are so keen to give away a penalty. It puts you on the back foot straight away."

Finn Russell switches the kick-off towards the Wales backs. Jonathan Davies claims cleanly and Jonny Gray is off his feet at the first collision. Penalty and Dan Biggar booms the kick up towards halfway...

It is crystal clear day in the Scottish capital and the Murrayfield crowd are in fine voice as the pipes die away and allow them to carry Flower of Scotland to its conclusion unaided.

    Awesome as ever.

The hosts are up for this. Strap in, I have got a good feeling about this one.

    Jeremy Guscott
Former England centre on BBC One

"Given what happened last weekend it's a close call, if Scotland don't play too much in their own half they have a huge opportunity. Wales boss Warren Gatland has been so faithful to his team, but because Vern Cotter has his side so confident at home, I'm taking Scotland to shade it. There is a caveat - the Scots are good at getting the ball to the 22, but they struggle to get it to the try line."

    Martyn Williams
Former Wales captain on BBC One

"This is a huge game for Wales, next it's France in Paris but I think the nation is still in a bit of shock from last Friday. I'm looking for a response, it will be a tough game and a narrow win for Wales."

The two teams are out with plenty of time to spare and it is just as well because Princess Anne wants a chinwag.

The Princess Royal, a patron of the Scottish Rugby Union, is introduced to the two sides and picks out Jamie Roberts at the end of the Welsh line for a bit of pre-match small talk.

On to Scotland and her Royal Highness seems to be giving Geoff Cross a bit of a ribbing about his Robinson Crusoe beard.

    Lovely stuff.

    Wales fans

"Murrayfield is always a special occasion. They do the pre-match entertainment better than any other Six Nations venue. The atmosphere in town this morning was absolutely terrific.

"There are thousands of Welshmen here and they look so visible. There is a huge sense of anticipation and obviously both teams are desperate to win the match."

After last weekend's tunnel shenanigans in Cardiff, the Scottish Rugby Union are playing it straight. Sam Warburton and Greig Laidlaw line up their teams side by side and walk out together.

The two XVs appearance pitchside is marked with a boom of a field gun.

Scotland coach Vern Cotter speaking to BBC Sport: "It's a nice day, there's sunshine out there and the track is firm and dry so there should be some good rugby played.

"Wales are a very good team, they will have prepared well this week because this game means a lot to them, as it does to us and it will be a fierce one today. We'll try to keep the ball at all times, apply pressure and we will have to concentrate for the full 85 minutes. Any lapse will lead to points against us."

BBC Sport's Sara Orchard: "A second try on the half-time whistle by England centre Abigail Scott flatters the Red Roses at the break. They've butchered countless chances whilst Italy have taken their only opportunity.

"Credit to a monstrous performance by Richmond's Alex Matthews and some clinical kicking from hand by the returning Katy Mclean at fly-half - without these two England would be severely lacking."

Winger George North is also out, having an "extended recovery period", after receiving two blows to the head in the 21-16 defeat by England in Cardiff.
