It was a great cover tackle from Stuart Hogg that cut down Rhys Webb just as the Wales scrum-half's eyes lit up with the sight of the whitewash.

Scotland have to take some three-point damage though as Leigh Halfpenny punishes an infringement at a ruck.

Here comes the Wales backlash. Rhys Webb hauled down as he makes a clean break from Leigh Halfpenny's offload, Liam Williams tackled just short....

"It's fair to say that was against the run of play but the home crowd won't care a bit. They are delirious."

Scotland are pouring the pressure on a rattled Wales side. Clean ball off the top of the line-out inside the Wales 22 metre, but a fumble from Greig Laidlaw as he tries to get the backs flying hands possession back to the red shirts.

BBC Sport's Sara Orchard at The Stoop: "Italy are reduced to 14 women in the second half as fly-half Beatrice Rigoni takes one for the team and is sent to the bin for persistent infringements at the breakdown.

"It's a similar story to the first half though as England spend 10 minutes on the Italian line and come away with nothing - other than a lost GPS tracker that was chucked our way into the stands."

The Scotland full-back revs up and roars away to score under the sticks after great work from Richie Gray and Finn Russell to nick the ball at the breakdown.

The Wales forwards just looked like they ran out of puff there, failing to get to the ruck in enough numbers or with enough energy.
