  2. Who is your Premiership player of the season?published at 15:23 British Summer Time 16 May 2015

    Billy Vunipola

Breaking up the Bath and Wasps monopoly is Saracens number eight Billy Vunipola, who's had another fine campaign at Allianz Park.

Having already racked up 17 England caps by the tender age of 22, alongside brother Mako he is a major reason the Sarries pack continues to be so formidable.

But can Mark McCall's side do enough this afternoon to extend his season by two more matches? We'll find out soon enough!

Bath will field a near-enough full-strength side for the visit of West Country rivals Gloucester, despite having already secured second place.

One fixture that is in danger of getting lost in amongst all the play-off furore is the West Country derby between Bath and Gloucester at The Rec.

The Blue, Black and Whites already have second place and a home semi-final wrapped up, but for now they're looking no further than Saturday's grudge match.

"The derbies are fantastic," Bath flanker Sam Burgess told BBC Points West. "For me as an outsider coming in they're great to be a part of.

"We'll play the semi-final when it comes around but for now we're not looking too much further than Gloucester."

London Irish have recalled Darren Allinson and Dan Leo for the visit of European Champions Cup hopefuls Wasps.

England lock Joe Launchbury is back in Dai Young's starting line-up.

London Irish: Fenby; Lewington, Griffin, Geraghty (capt), Short; Noakes, Allison; Court, Paice, Palframan; Leo, Sinclair, Narraway, Cowan, Guest. Replacements: Stevens, Smallbone, Aulika, Curry, Treviranus, Watson, Sheridan, Short.

Wasps: Masi; Wade, Daly, Leiua, Tagicakibau; Goode, Davies; Mullan, Lindsay, Cittadini, Launchbury, Gaskell, Johnson, Haskell (capt), Thompson. Replacements: McIntyre, Taylor, Myall, Jones, Young, Weepu, Lozowski, Miller.

  6. Who is your Premiership player of the season?published at 15:13 British Summer Time 16 May 2015

    Jonathan Joseph

A former London Irish player, Bath centre Jonathan Joseph sprung into the public consciousness during an eye-catching Six Nations campaign for England which included a stunning try against Wales on the opening night.

However, those who watch the 24-year-old regularly at The Rec will tell you he's been putting performances in like that for some time.

Joseph has scored seven Premiership tries for Bath this season and his partnership with Kyle Eastmond in the centres could take them to a first Premiership title since 1996.

As alluded to earlier, there aren't just places in the end-of-season play-offs at stake today, but a spot at Europe's top table too.

As it stands, sixth-placed Wasps are in pole position to secure a slot in next season's European Champions Cup, with two points against London Irish enough for Dai Young's side.

"Whether our season has been a success or not boils down to one game now," he said. "It's a proper cup final for us. We know what we have to do."

If they don't do what they need to do, Sale Sharks will be waiting in the wings.

Like Mark Cueto, London Welsh centre Tom May will bring his 17-year playing career to an end this afternoon.

The 36-year-old, formerly of Newcastle Falcons and Northampton Saints, won two caps for England.

"It's going to be strange waking up on Monday morning and not having a job," May told BBC Radio Oxford.

"I'm trying to enjoy every last session and approach the game in a positive manner. I think it'll be on my mind. I'll try to put it to the back of my mind and enjoy the occasion."

  11. Who is your Premiership player of the season?published at 14:58 British Summer Time 16 May 2015

    Nathan Hughes

Like team-mate Elliot Daly, Nathan Hughes has been one of the driving forces behind Wasps' push for honours this season.

The Fijian back-rower, who has talked in the past about qualifying to play for England, has scored seven tries for Wasps in only his second Premiership campaign.

It hasn't been all plain sailing for the 23-year-old, after he was banned for three weeks for his part in an incident that led to Northampton's George North being knocked unconscious in March - but he was later cleared of any wrongdoing and the ban was overturned on appeal.

Ed Slater and Christian Loamanu make their first Premiership starts of the season for Leicester Tigers, with George Parling injured and Seremaia Bai suspended.

Leicester Tigers: Morris; Goneva, Tait, Loamanu, Thompstone; Burns, Ben Youngs (capt); Mulipola, Tom Youngs, Cole, Thorn, Kitchener, Slater, Salvi, Crane. Replacements: Thacker, Ayerza, Balmain, De Chaves, Gibson, Harrison, Bell, Roberts.

According to full-back Alex Goode, Saracens are "a bit annoyed" at themselves that they're still stuck in the midst of a play-off fight this afternoon.

Mark McCall's side were heading for a top-four spot at 20-17 up against Exeter a week ago, but Thomas Waldrom's late try is the reason we're all here today trying to work out what's what.

"We've still got a good chance of going through," Goode told BBC London 94.9.

"You have to look at it as though Leicester will win and Exeter will win, and win well, so all we can concentrate on is putting a big performance in."

    Mark Cueto

Whatever the result at Sandy Park today, there is one man who definitely won't be coming back for more.

Sale Sharks and former England winger Mark Cueto is set to end his professional rugby union career against Exeter Chiefs, 14 years after making his debut for his hometown club.

Earlier this week, he opened up to BBC Sport about his Premiership try-scoring record, what he plans to do next and that disallowed try in the World Cup. Please do click here to tuck in!

  15. Who is your Premiership player of the season?published at 14:47 British Summer Time 16 May 2015

    George Ford

In amongst a generation of talented English fly-halves, the diminutive figure of George Ford has stood out above the rest this season.

The 22-year-old replaced the injured Owen Farrell during last year's autumn internationals and has not looked back since, starring in England's Six Nations campaign and since going on to make the national number 10 shirt his own.

Ford, son of Bath head coach Mike, has also kicked 175 points in 13 Premiership appearances for the Blue, Black and Whites this season.

Scotland international Mike Blair captains Newcastle Falcons, while Tom Catterick returns at fly-half following illness.

Harlequins make seven changes to the side which lost to Bath last week, as prop Darryl Marfo makes their last appearance for the club.

Exeter Chiefs welcome England wing Jack Nowell back to the side, with Byron McGuigan replaced at full-back.

"It's the biggest derby game in the Premiership by a country mile."

Richard Cockerill's words, not mine. But it's certainly up there, isn't it?

Leicester Tigers v Northampton Saints is always a fixture to look out for - even more so when there's a play-off spot riding on it.

"It is a huge game full stop," Tigers boss Cockerill told BBC East Midlands Today. "If they beat us they knock us out. There will be a full house at Welford Road and we have a proud record. We need to get it right."

  20. Who is your Premiership player of the season?published at 14:32 British Summer Time 16 May 2015

    Elliot Daly

To help you decide where your vote is going this afternoon, we're going to be talking you through each of the candidates included on the Premiership's shortlist.

We'll start by looking at the form of Elliot Daly, who's played a big role in Wasps finishing back inside the top six and automatically qualifying for a place in the European Champions Cup next season.

The 22-year-old, capped four times by England Saxons but not yet by the full side, has impressed at centre this year, scoring five tries in 19 league appearances.

The Premiership Player of the Month for March should have done enough to force his way into Stuart Lancaster's 45-man World Cup training squad, which will be announced on Wednesday.
