"The wingers are fairly sorted for England with these two - Watson and May - and Jack Nowell with some cover from Mike Brown. You know when you're in camp whether you're in the final squad or on the fringe. You feel like Watson and May know they're in."
England 12-9 France
France disrupting England's scrum but England manage to gain control and finally get the ball into touch. Intriguing, and you have to say a better quality spectacle than Ireland-Scotland earlier today.
Former England 10 Andy Goode chipping in...
France over-complicating at the back of a line-out, England steal it, but eventually it's an England scrum for a French knock-on, just outside the England 22. Couple of collapses, we have a lull...

"That's a simple rule you need to know about. If you're pulling the man back after a tap penalty you're asking for trouble."
England 12-9 France
Burgess is carded on debut - professional foul, pulling back Parra as he took a quick tap penalty. Little bit silly from Burgess, but he's still a novice in this game - and the French scrum-half made the most of it.

"Henry Slade cannot make that tackle. For me it's a yellow card all day long. He knew he was never going to get the ball."
Henry Slade gets his timing wrong, taking the man in the air, but gets away with it, only a penalty for France. That area of the game has become a grey one. Goode into the game, throwing a couple of dummies, like a man jiggling a key in a particularly stubborn lock, but England eventually give away a penalty...
England 12-9 France
Brookes is penalised at the scrum and Parra pops over his third penalty from three attempts. The French still very much in this, it's been a good match so far.

Dulin is back on the wing, although he probably felt like hiding in a toilet, having been skinned so thoroughly by Watson. Lots of pats of encouragement for Burgess after another tackle on Guitoune. Here's May on the counter, tackling the Gloucester man must be like trying to bring down an electric eel. Picamoles on the gallop! He's France's stand-out player so far, he's trimmed down and looks almost coltish...
England 12-6 France
Burgess with another monster hit in midfield, Dumoulin didn't know what hit him. That's the new boy's eighth tackle so far. But it's a French penalty from a scrum and Szarzewski points at the posts, he needs a foot-hold... Parra slippers over the three-pointer...
Gloucester are maintaining incredible impartiality...
England have got it going on now after a sluggish start and here they are driving France back at the scrum. Parra uses the boot but Goode calls a mark and thumps it down-field. Spedding fields it and the ball is drilled back into England territory... England knock-on, French scrum...

"I want to see that try in a semi-final and not now. It was so good. I'm chuffed to bits but I hate giving stuff away. It's such a good move. The combo of Slade and Burgess can be like Barritt and Joseph - give it to the guy with the hands. But now there's a clip that every other country can look at in their analysis."
