Quote MessageGethin Jenkins against Dan Cole is a huge match-up. If England can get a few penalties in that area and get the crowd going the momentum will be hard to stop.

"How big is this match? David Hasselhoff is here. Omen: last time the Hoff attended an England v Wales match, England ran out 21-16 winners (Cardiff last Feb)."
England v Wales (20:00 BST)
Tom Jones has flown over from Los Angeles especially for this match, I know this because he's on the television talking about the match. Amazing.
David Hasslehoff at Twickenham, too. What a night. I'm not sure what to make of this picture of The Hoff, however, not when stomachs are already churning at the prospect of the 80 minutes ahead...

Edward Poole: As an Englishman, who went to a Welsh uni, with a Welsh girlfriend (well half Welsh, but she supports them) I am very nervous! #bbcrugby

Wales haven't been without their selection problems either. The team's medical room has at times born resemblance to an episode of M.A.S.H.
Three of their best have long gone, Jonathan Daives, Leigh Halfpenny and Jonathan Davies, while Cory Allen joined them on the long-term injury list this week.
Props Paul James and Samson Lee have been under "hour-by-hour" surveillance because of their calf injuries, while Liam Williams was a doubt for Twickenham because of a dead leg. The full-back is the only one to have made the startling line-up.

"We're going to yank em, we're going to take them and roll them around and rip them up to pieces."
Not my words, but that of Wales coach Warren Gatland. Sort of. The Wales coach has said Sam Burgess will not receive special attention - instead his players will aim to smash every England player. That's the spirit.
"We won't be trying to single out Sam Burgess at all," said Gatland. "We will be going out there to smash him like everyone else."
England v Wales (20:00 BST)
The midfield battle between the big brutes Sam Burgess and Jamie Roberts is one of the key clashes of this match.
Burgess knows what it takes to excel on a grand sporting stage, having been named man of the match in 2014 when South Sydney Rabbitohs won their first title in 43 years.
But the 26-year-old league convert has played only 112 minutes of international rugby union and will line up opposite Jamie Roberts, who has 70 Wales caps and was named man of the series for the Lions during their South African tour.
We know there will be big runs and big hits, but we're stepping into the unknown and that's why this contest is so captivating.

Quote MessageThe reality is that there will be some big hits early on because of the kind of players on the pitch. It will be a real battle in midfield. What happens between Owen Farrell and Dan Biggar in terms of control of the game will play a big part in deciding the winner.

"An air of nerve-jangling anticipation rather than ear-splitting bedlam in the bars and fan zones around the old stadium, plenty of bleary eyes already after a day that has stretched on and on. Two years of waiting is about to come to an end."

But how will they be able to see the match looking through St George's tinted spectacles?
England v Wales (20:00 BST)
Significant or not, it is Stuart Lancaster's men who secured victory over Wales in the most recent encounter between the two nations, coming from 10 points down to win 21-16 in Cardiff at this year's Six Nations.

Tom Jones's Delilah ringing around Twickenham. Rugby HQ happy to play a Welshman on the sound system, which is nice.
Hopefully England cricketer Steven Finn has found his seat... There's no boundary, perhaps that's the problem.

Quote MessageI think it is the way Stuart Lancaster and his coaching staff see England winning the tournament. They want to play a territorial, kicking, squeezing-the-life-out-the-opposition game. You need bulk to do that. It is the way Saracens play, but they win matches and score tries. My worry is; where is the creativity if England fall behind?

Quote MessageIn our era, Jonny Wilkinson was the first choice. When you know that, everything is fine. It is consistent and you understand why. If Jonny suddenly got dropped and someone else came in, they would immediately have the support of the squad. It will be the same out there. Everyone will be behind Owen [Farrell]. Because everyone wants to win.

Many remember the 30-3 thrashing England received at the Millennium Stadium in 2013, stopping their Grand Slam charge. But since then the Red Rose has been a thorn in Wales' side.
England's Tom Wood says that defeat still haunts his team.
"I hope we don't forget that Cardiff defeat," said the 28-year-old. "We have done pretty well home and away against Wales since then and we learned a lot that day, not only about how to play rugby but about using emotion."
