    Wales 23-13 Fiji

Wales captain Sam Warburton: "Our priority today was to win, not the bonus point, and Australia didn't get a bonus point against Fiji.

"Credit to Fiji they played they like had nothing to lose. It was extremely tough but we've got three wins from three.

"If someone said that at the start of the tournament, we would have snapped their hand off."

  2. Wales mark their territorypublished at 18:44

They didn't always have it their own way, but Wales' superior possession and territory gave them the platform on which to achieve their third win of the tournament. Unbeaten with one game remaining and currently top of their pool.

That was a big, physical, absolutely brutal Test match. Fiji's fitness and scrum was immense although we had them on toast in the line-out. No bonus point but if you'd offered me three wins from three two weeks ago I would have bitten your hand off.

It was a professional job by a lot of tired individuals by Wales. Thankfully there are eight days to go until their next big battle with Australia. Well done to Fiji. They played their hearts out. Wales played good quality professional rugby but the one concern is the scrum."

And Wales can breathe a little easier after overcoming that tricky hurdle. It looked as if the Fijians could cause an upset, and do England a favour, but Wales just about had enough to keep them at bay.

Rhys Priestland releases Alex Cuthbert, but the winger runs out of turf and the referee's whistle signals the end of an entertaining match.

Lung-busting tackle after lung-busting tackle as Fiji recycle and recycle without really going anywhere... Jamie Roberts out of his line quickly. Oof, go the crowd... He earns his team the penalty.. Wales go quickly...

But James Hook is swallowed up by a gang of Fijian defenders and there's no way the Welshman is going to emerge with the ball. Fiji decide to dash from their own 22 in stoppage time...

A cute flick from the back of the hand from Taulupe Faletau which sets Gareth Davies free to weave into Fiji's 22.... George North, on the other side, attempts to dance through the defence, but he can't... Wales still in possession, still making inroads.

It's almost a job well done. Wales have stuck to their guns and have done what they needed to do."

Jamie Roberts crashes into Viliame Veikoso and Akapusi Qera and the crowd groan in unison. High-impact, high-octane. Wales emerge with the ball... a chance for James Hook but the replacement outside-half loses possession.

Wales 10m from the Fijian line. Alun Wyn Jones gives Metuisela Talebula the ball but the lock is fortunate that the full-back doesn't have the audacity to run from his own 22. Three minutes remaining.

That's a big call, a 50-50 in my opinion, but it was a tough call for the TMO and he had to be sure. I thought it may have touched the whitewash.

There seems to be a Fijian hand under the ball. "TRY! TRY!" scream the crowd, but it's wishful thinking because the ball was not grounded properly. Rob Howley raises his arms. Wales with put-in at the scrum, though...

Alun Wyn Jones sets his pack rumbling... Sam Warburton on the base of the maul... inch by inch they go forward... Gareth Davies sniping and snapping around the fringes... the scrum-half whiffs a space down the blindside... he stoops, he slides...  but did the momentum take him over the line?

Fiji are just strolling back into position now in defence, Wales just need to keep the ball in hand and wait for the opportunities.

Campese Ma'afu  messing up at the breakdown and Priestland finds touch. Players breathing heavily after a bruising encounter which only has six minutes remaining.

A wry smile from Dan Biggar as he hobbles off the pitch, to be replaced by Rhys Priestland. Cramp ending the outside-half's game. Fiji with a line-out in Wales' 22... a solid foundation for a forward drive.
