Hamish Watson was straight down at the ruck, right on the ball and the referee had no option but to give Scotland the penalty.

    Very good technical play.

New Zealand include 10 of the team which started in the Chicago defeat.

First-choice locks Sam Whitelock and Brodie Retallick both return with Israel Dagg, Malakai Fekitoa and Anton Lienert-Brown also included.

Flanker Jerome Kaino, named at lock in Chicago, is ruled out by a calf strain.

Waisake Naholo, George Moala, Ryan Crotty and Patrick Tuipulotu also drop out of the team that played in the USA.

Sean O'Brien's inclusion in place of Jordi Murphy is Ireland's only change from the side which stunned New Zealand two weeks ago for Saturday's rematch.

O'Brien, 29, played against Canada last weekend in his first Irish duty since damaging a hamstring in February.

With Murphy ruled out by a knee injury, Joe Schmidt retains the other 14 men who started in Chicago for the contest at Dublin's Aviva Stadium.

The first real piece of explosive attacking play from either side sees scrum half Martin Landajo spot a gap, dive through it and then scamper away into space before sending a hopeful grubber towards the Scotland line.

Stuart Hogg wins the foot race, but Argentina are beginning to look dangerous.

Wonder how much the Irish RFU spend on pyrotechnics each year? They love a firework or five before kick-off. Electric atmosphere inside the Aviva.

Irish president Michael D Higgins trots out for his usual pre-match turn, shaking the hand of each player before the brass band kicks into life. Anthem time.

    Scotland 3-0 Argentina

Argentina have not helped themselves with a few early errors creeping into the game.

Javier Ortega spills one in his own half to give Scotland the put in at the scrum, but the hosts can't take advantage as Finn Russell then knocks on.

Someone hold on to the ball, please.

Solid defence from Scotland early in this game has stifled any threat of an Argentina attack.

The Pumas have struggled to get out of their half so far, both with the ball in hand and with the boot.

Ireland v New Zealand (17:30 GMT)

Ireland head coach Joe Schmidt, talking to Sky Sports: "We have to be incredibly good and better than last time. They will be better and will be better organised in the midfield.

"A few things fell our way last time which won't necessarily fall our way this time.

"We don't want to be dampened by expectation. We went to Chicago, not with an air of abandon, but we were able to breathe easily because there was no expectation.

"We don't want to dampen that enthusiasm we had two weeks ago."

Few backed Ireland to beat New Zealand in Chicago the other week. Even fewer are backing them to do the same again.

It's fair to say most home fans are expecting a backlash from the mighty All Blacks. But it hasn't stopped them packing into the Aviva. Buzzing.

Tickets have been harder to get than a Willy Wonka Golden Ticket.

An easy way to frustrate your team-mates 10 minutes into a Test match? Miss touch twice in quick succession. You don't expect that from Argentina's Juan Martín Hernandez, but he's under-hit kicks on two occasions to keep the pressure on his side.

    England 58-15 Fiji

England might have stuck 50+ points on the board but captain Dylan Hartley is hardly buzzing in his post-match interview. Short and sharp.

"There is plenty of stuff to work on definitely," he tells Sky Sports.

"The opening exchanges pleased me and the discipline in the opening 20 minutes. We started very well but dropped off intensity wise. We need to improve on that.

"They are an attacking threat, they are big physical guys who can move the ball sharpish. We have plenty to work on but we have to respect their threat."

    Scotland 3-0 Argentina

Argentina give a second penalty away in less than five minutes, which allows Finn Russell to kick for touch and set the position for Scotland.

The fly half has been involved in all the early play at Murrayfield, but as the ball is worked left to him from the line-out he knocks on and the visitors win the scrum just outside the their own 22.

Superb from Finn Russell there, takes a catch comfortably and then hoofs one high into the air to give himself enough time to get underneath it and gather again in full flight.

Argentina are penalised in the following ruck, and that gives Greig Laidlaw the chance to put some early points on the board.

A few mustachioed Scotland players in today's line up, it's that time of year of course (Movember, if I've lost you), but there's a healthy set of facial hair being sported by both teams.

That's the national anthems done, pitch cleared, countdown completed...and Finn Russell gets the game under way.

Scotland have to keep doing what they did last week.

They have to use that performance as the benchmark, with the same quality, intensity and vibrancy in attack.

If they do, I think Scotland will get the win tonight.

    Scotland v Argentina (17:00 GMT)

So what should we expect from Scotland today?

Scotland have won just three times in their last 13 matches at Murrayfield since beating Japan in November 2013, but one of those wins did come against Argentina.

And Vern Cotter's men have won four of their eight Tests in 2016, scoring 16 tries in the process.

They have also beaten the Pumas on four of the last five occasions, having only won twice in the first 10.

It was was very encouraging last week (in defeat to Australia). There is real development in the Scotland side.

They just need to win these tight games now.
