Scotland head coach Vern Cotter is looking to bounce back from a 23-22 defeat by Australia last week: "Nobody likes losing, but the honesty within the group first thing on Monday was a down-to-earth analysis of what did we actually contribute to that game.

"It was a very close-cut thing, only one point, but we were pretty tough on ourselves that Monday and the players were pretty tough on themselves."

Former Wales international on BBC One

Wales have won their last two games, which is a positive. However, there needs to be a change in performance.

South Africa may have lost to Italy, but they are still a very good side. Wales need to change the way they are playing at the moment.

You should come to international rugby with all the skills you require. You look at the line-up and where are the hard ball, strong carriers who are going to make dents in the line?

You need dynamic, explosive runners and quick ball.

Wales are way off it. You can't gloss over that. It was a dire performance. Wales were so slow and pedestrian.

It is a win but a real poor performance.

  10. 'Wales used get out of jail free card'published at 16:32 Greenwich Mean Time 19 November 2016

    Wales 33-30 Japan

Wales captain Sam Warburton on BBC One: "Fair play to Sam Davies stepping up at end. There was a heck of a lot of pressure on him. It was a get out of jail free card. Every time we scored we let them back in which is disappointing. After gaining momentum we took two steps back.

"It was disappointing to give away tries like we did. It was errors. When we have got the ball we have got to keep it. Credit to Japan. They were well conditioned and kept coming.

"We didn't underestimate them, we had one of our best training weeks and they have still pushed us right to the end."

Strength in depth is crucial for England.

All of the great teams have that.

They have all had amazing strength in depth because you are going to need it come World Cup time.

    England 58-15 Fiji

England scrum-half George Ford, talking to Sky Sports: "I thought there was some good stuff attack-wise. We were a bit loose at the breakdown but we tidied it up.

"We put an emphasis on the first 20 minutes, we let ourselves down there last week, and we're happy to make improvement in that area.

"We were a little off defensively, we were not where we needed to be in the next two weeks. we need to be hard on ourselves.

"The squad depth is getting better and better, it is there for all to see. The competition is fierce."

Thoughts England fans? It seems a little churlish to moan after an attacking display like that. Explosive, energetic, exciting. Never mind fish and chip rugby, Eddie Jones's side were gourmet standard today.

But... there were bouts of defensive sloppiness. That needs sorting ahead of Australia and Argentina.
