The teamsheets are out and Owen Farrell's name is on it at 12 for England.

The Saracen had been a doubt with a leg injury. Ben Te'o on the bench will be the man into the fray should he fail to stand up to Test match heat.

It's too easy for France now, able to make yards every time they have the ball. Louis Picamoles again is the man to start the cart rolling.

The big Northampton number eight is a weapon from that range, and Louis Picamoles takes two defenders with him as he burrows over for his ninth international try.

Italy centre Michele Campagnaro ended that break from Remi Lamerat but he's hurt himself in the process and has to come off. He'll be a big loss.

After a lengthy spell of stodgy play and reset scrums France electrify us with a great break from Remi Lamerat, he goes on his own from just inside the Italy half, weaving past one man but always struggling for legs and desperate for a man on his shoulder.

Nobody is forthcoming though and he's wrapped up within sight of the try line. France scrum - they've made more than 550m today.

  11. England "not as loud as they normally are"published at 15:00 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2017

English 'arrogance'. Throughout history it has been the charge most often levelled against the current champions.

Scotland wing Tim Visser says that this current England team are less cocky than normal and even then they are "probably pretending to be more confident than they are".

“Speaking to the English public, they think Scotland have got a realistic chance," said Visser. , external

"The players themselves are not as cocky as they normally are, which is a good sign. They are not as loud as they normally are.”

A cocktail of errors, both forced and unforced, cost Italy any real momentum time and again. Another handling error gifts France a scrum on halfway.

Referee Ben O'Keeffe is losing patience with both sides in the scrum now. A host of replacements have made it more unstable.

That decision was met by emphatic boos from the Stadio Olimpico crowd but TMO Marius Jonker had no option as far as I could tell.

Italy must have had the ball for the best part of 10 minutes with no score at the end of it.

No try! It looks the right decision as France full-back Brice Dulin had his left arm wrapped under the ball the whole time as Giorgio Bronzini burrowed over.

Still Italy have the ball, still they can't really force France into a state of panic. Centre Michele Campagnaro beats one man but runs into a blue cul-de-sac. He's lost all 13 of his Six Nations matches. Unlucky for all.

  17. Express yourself, you can't be wrongpublished at 14:50 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2017

    England v Scotland (16:00 GMT)

Scotland's players want to get their hands on the ball and express themselves at Twickenham according to coach Vern Cotter earlier this week.

"I think that's a good attitude to have and attitude will determine a big part of the game," he said.

It's the perfect day for that sort of ambition and adventure.

The Italy wave of pressure comes to an end as Andrea Lovotti shells a simple enough catch like an English slip fielder circa 1998.

    Italy 11-26 France

Italy gaffer Conor O'Shea talked before the match about his side giving themselves a chance to win the game. That presumably meant making tackles they should be making.

But that hasn't happened. The Azzurri have missed 34 tackles. France? Just the four.
