And Sir Clive's prediction of England by 20 points is the sort of thing that will fuel Scottish fires.

You can always rely on Jim Telfer to deliver the needle.

With the current set of players and coaches pretty polite about each other, the former Scotland head honcho was on typically prickly form when asked about England earlier this year.

On Eddie Jones: "The way he speaks, it's a bit like Donald Trump. He wants to be the big man, you know?"

And I don't think he will be taking out a debenture at Twickenham any time soon.

"If you ever think about wanting separation from England just sit 10 minutes in Twickenham and listen to them," he added.

"They think they're superior and a lot of them will come from the south-east, bags of money and bags of this and bags of that. They don't really appreciate the other team."

"Farrell practising his place-kicking on the Twickenham turf. A few grimaces, but that may be as much because of the perfectionism of England's number 12 as any physical discomfort. He has run a few lines with his fly-half and friend George Ford, and appears to be moving normally. If not yet sprinting."

Scotland's attack has been ruthlessly efficient in this season's Six Nations and their defence has been furiously busy.

With 484 tackles from their three games so far, they have been the busiest team in defence during this year's Championship.

Lock Jonny Gray has been their most impressive performer in that area with 52 successful challenges.

    Ding-ding. Enough of the undercard.

    Time for the main event.

The Six Nations title, the Calcutta Cup and the Triple Crown on all on offer in just one match.

It's going to be a goodie.

That win lifts France into third for the time being at least. A Scotland win at Twickenham would make life interesting.

    Very interesting.

Consolation? No, but it is at least a second score as Italy patiently pop the ball out to Angelo Esposito on the wing and he slides over for the try.

There she is, try number four. Flanker Kevin Gourdon walks through yet another missed tackle and finds the galloping full-back Brice Dulin on his shoulder, he bursts past a half-hearted challenge too to walk under the posts.

Camille Lopez adds the simplest of conversions.

Into the dying embers of this game, but the fire has long since gone out for Italy. France's backs are now into the flicks-and-tricks part of the day. France will be disappointed if they don't get a fourth try. Oh...

    BBC Radio 5 live

Former England fly-half Paul Grayson has been giving his reaction to Owen Farrell being declared fit for the match.

"That huge. He is England's most reliable kicker and a Test match animal. The support he provides for fly-half George Ford is essential to England's patterns of play."

All the build-up continues on BBC Radio 5 live.

Well then! Louis Picamoles makes the pass while being tackled right on the touchline, his boot was out of touch but in the air.

TMO Marius Jonker rules that he's in touch and the try does not stand. Shame for replacement Eddy Ben Arous, as he finished smartly.
