The clock has gone red as the referee fusses over a series of scrum re-sets.

When will Monsieur Raynal put the Scots out of their misery?

Or should that be Owen Farrell 24 Scotland 21?

The England fly-half has bagged enough points with his right boot to beat the Scots on his own.

The only blemish from 11 attempts at goal was that missed penalty from inside the Scottish half just before half-time.

England are knocking on the door once again...

George Ford goes for an unconventional seventh try, punting across field with the advantage in his back pocket.

Jack Nowell chases gamely, but Duncan Weir has that one covered.

Back for a scrum five out. Shove-over time?

If we're going to be really fussy here, Anthony Watson could have cut a nice angle there back inside but England's handling has been superb.

So close to another try from England.

Scotland's defence are sent into reverse by Ben Te'o and Jamie George's charges and only a superb cover tackle can deny Anthony Watson from getting over out wide.

    Ouch.

One of the biggest hits of the afternoon and it is friendly fire as England wing Anthony Watson bounces off the chest of mammoth team-mate Kyle Sinckler.

Watson is decked. Sinckler barely registered.

Scotland are finally starting to rack up some metres, with Tim Visser sneaking into the top five individual chart. Little consolation.

England's team total of 457 dwarfing Scotland's 232 is indicative of the damage done by the home attack.

Defences are going to the dogs.

Danny Care , off the bench, is perfectly positioned on Billy Vunipola's shoulder as the England number eight picks and goes from the base of a scrum.

Over he goes as does Owen Farrell's conversion kick.

There was such a build-up to this game and chat of the Scottish renaissance, well that lasted all of about a minute...

The game as a contest finished a long time ago, it has fizzled out and somehow Scotland have scored three converted tries which seemed almost inconceivable.

    Fair play to the Scots.

Eddie Jones and his coaching staff will be livid.

The way that Wales last night kept Ireland to nil on the try count shows real organisation.

This will not please the England head coach. It's not like them, usually their bench come on and add intensity.

  14. Jones converts late Scotland pressurepublished at 17:45 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2017

    England 47-21 Scotland

Excellent work from Finn Russell as he loops round to take a return pass of Richie Gray in midfield and throw a long looping pass out to Huw Jones.

The Scotland centre finishes his second try as well as his first, stepping inside the cover and withstanding the blast of corner-flagging forwards to get over.

A pinpoint conversion from Finn Russell as well.

Tim Visser with another break - this time right though the heart of the England defence after evading James Haskell.
