After the worst first half of the Jones regime a fortnight ago against Italy, this has been England's best opening 40 minutes - wave after wave of devastating attacks, dominant at the set-piece, three coruscating tries and Farrell - an injury doubt before this game - with 15 points from his right boot. 

With their powerful finishers still to warm up, Scotland without Hogg and Bennett and scrum-half Price on the wing, the second half could bring white-shirted carnage.

Another blistering three-quarter move from Jonathan Joseph. The angles of running are just wonderful, There are so many options for George Ford.

There is no way a miracle can come. Scotland are so far off the pace, it has been a horror show for the Scotland team and their fans from the first minute.

The long wait for a win at Twickenham will continue. For a few years at least! 

Scotland look absolutely shell-shocked.

Their brave new era has been shredded in this first half.

I'm not sure how to describe that.

Jonathan Joseph has come on a beautiful angle and Watson finished it like a steam train on the right-hand side.

Scotland's defence is looking hole-ier than a block of Swiss cheese.

Jonathan Joseph, once again, is the man to worm through, set free by a lovely delayed pass from Owen Farrell and a blizzard of decoy runners.

Anthony Watson is steaming up on his Bath team-mate's outside and it is a simple fix-and-give to put him in.

Mike Brown comes racing forward and soaring up to take a cross-field bomb from Finn Russell under pressure from Ryan Wilson.

Unsurprisingly that means the top six individual metre-makers are all English, led by two-try hero Jonathan Joseph.
