    France 10-6 Wales

Wales finally produce a solid scrum and they try the little dink this time.

Baptiste Serin completely mis-reads the bounce and Wales gather.

Penalty coming for offside as Tipuric tries his luck on the wing, but no advantage and we'll come back.

The nod goes to Leigh Halfpenny once again.

    France 10-6 Wales

Both sides exchange a flurry of kicks but Wales decide not to punt the ball off the field.

And the tactic turns out well for them.

Francois Trinh-Duc's kicking game is not up to scratch and his huge kick trickles out of the in-goal area.

Scrum to Wales way back inside the French half.

    France 10-6 Wales

George North turns quickly from defence to attack and straightens to power up the middle.

But it was the wrong option. Wales had men left and that's wasted ball.

France wrap him up and get another penalty at the scrum. They'll pump the ball clear upfield.

Five minutes left to play in this half.

Great work by George North at the breakdown because France managed to get three or four offloads, which is enough to stretch any defence.

Had France got quick ball there, they may well have been able to exploit the space to the right of George North.

    France 10-6 Wales

A delightful offload from scrum-half Baptiste Serin as France are beginning to take risks with ball-in-hand.

    Lovely skill.

He swings the ball out the back door but great work from George North stops France getting quick service with numbers on the right and Wales are awarded the penalty.

Meanwhile, France fly-half Camille Lopez exits the field for a head injury assessment.

    France 10-6 Wales

    A real gift for Wales.

France come up with the unforced error and Wales have the line-out within French territory.

10 minutes left in this half to reduce the four-point deficit.

Wales are working hard in midfield but France are putting in some ferocious tackles and it's stolen again at the breakdown.

Leigh Halfpenny is forced to chase back into his 22 and he's put under extreme pressure by Baptiste Serin.

    France looking much more dangerous...

Wales were totally blown away and couldn't handle the physicality of the French early on, but when they keep the ball there does seem to be gaps in the France defence.

Alex Odlin:  To minimise the effect of the loss of Jiffy's voice, simply shout 'Go wide!' and 'It's on!' every time Wales have the ball

    ...and 'numbers!'...

Jon Evans: This is a far better game than the #SCOvITA, external game earlier. Hope the feistiness keeps up

  9. Penalty - France 10-6 Walespublished at 28 mins

    Leigh Halfpenny

Wales are chipping away at this scoreline having been physically outplayed in the first 15 minutes.

Reliable kicker Leigh Halfpenny slots a fabulous strike through the posts and that's six points with the man advantage.

    But back comes Virimi Vakatawa.

France's man mountain of a number eight Louis Picamoles is the one to carry his side forward early on, making a game-high 40 metres and beating three defenders with his three carries.

    France 10-3 Wales

Wales are not using their man advantage well and time is being eaten away.

Three minutes left on the sin-bin clock.

They win a good scrum in midfield but once again the attack is sloppy.

Leigh Halfpenny's offload is picked up by a French player and Wales are pushed back to the half-way line.

Alexander Turner: Dan Biggar is incredibly irritating. Stop moaning and let the officials do their job! Where's Nigel Owens when you need him?

Liz: Harsh decision by the ref there. No TMO for Wales?

Jon Evans: The french fans should be glad it's not a penalty try too.

Noa Nakaitaci is bullying the Welsh shirts on that right-hand side.

He bumps off one, then two tacklers before help eventually arrives and he is bundled into touch.

    France 10-3 Wales

Wales with a successful line-out and their maul is marching France backwards.

They're into the French half but Leigh Halfpenny takes the ball into contact and it's stolen by Remi Lamerat in the tackle.

France kick clear and Wales will come again on the counter-attack.

But they can't find a way through this solid French defence. Another turnover.

It's psychological for Wales, they are on the scoreboard when for the opening 15 minutes they were just defending.

They're playing against 14 men and they need to make this count.

For me, I think it was in the motion of making the tackle.

Obviously if you are a Welsh fan sitting at home you probably disagree with me.

A big moment for Wales now.

  19. Sin-bin - Vakatawapublished at 19 mins

    France 10-0 Wales

The TMO decides it is a deliberate knock-on and that's 10 minutes in the bin for the French winger Virimi Vakatawa.

The officials aren't certain a try would have been scored so just a penalty.

Will Wales go for corner or posts? It's been a contentious issue in this year's Six Nations...

    France 10-0 Wales

George North is getting close on the restarts and hassling the French into making errors.

Wales with the line-out inside their own half, which is good, and Jonathan Davies is set away down the centre.

Wales looking to build up some momentum here and they get the ball out wide to Dan Biggar.

He's just about to set George North away down the wing but a huge tackle from Virimi Vakatawa - his arm dislodges the ball.

Does he know what he's doing?
