Small Man Peaky: Four England locks ahead of AWJ. And possibly the younger Gray

So AWJ isn't your captain. Let us know who is...

A brief pause here as there seem to be more medics on the field than players.

Rhys Webb and Guilhem Guirado both receiving treatment.

Wayne Barnes says the earlier play was a knock-on in the tackle so it's a scrum to France five metres out.

    France 10-9 Wales

Wales are penalised for crossing right in front of the posts and France, in haste, take a quick tap.

But as is the order of the day, they mess it up.

Brice Dulin pops the ball up but it's knocked out in the tackle.

An attempt to tackle or a deliberate knock-on? It looked close.

Unfortunately that pass from France is indicative of the way both sides have made unforced errors that have constantly checked their progress.

If Wales can just find a passage of play where they are precise, the gaps will open.

Precision hasn't been top of the agenda for either team this afternoon.

You have to think that whichever side puts a string of passes together first will make huge headway in this game.

Leigh Halfpenny sets off in pursuit of his lofty kick but Brice Dulin wins the aerial battle.

And another round of ping-pong in session right now.

Allez les bleus rings out around the stadium.

France are sensing something here. They dominated at the start of the first half and they've had all the possession so far since the break.

But it doesn't take long for the first error, a poor pass is knocked on by Brice Dulin and Wales snap up the loose ball.

Wales have a man down here, it looks to be captain Alun Wyn Jones.

France are edging Wales on the tackle count at the break - 66 to 56 - but also in missed tackles, topping their Welsh counterparts 10 to eight.

Remi Lamerat leads the way with nine for his side, matched by Wales' top tackler Justin Tipuric.

Tristan: Understood that the feeding was ignored these days to keep the game flowing and prevent countless resets at the scrum. Annoying, but let's the game continue IMO.

Dave Sommerville: How are France only 1 point up at half - time?! Wales could snatch a win here.

The execution from both teams has let them down.

A few wayward passes, turnovers. Both teams haven't quite capitalised on what they are creating.

    Garin Jenkins
Former Wales international on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

Wales needed to find their composure after a difficult start and they've done well for periods of this half. They were under the cosh at first and were turned over but they have got hold of more of the ball.

They are back in this game thanks to the nine points from Halfpenny and finished the half the stronger side. Well done, Wales.

Wales will be relatively happy with that.

In terms of the score, they looked early on as if they may be buried.

That's three from three for Halfpenny this afternoon and Wales are back within a point.

It hasn't been a great attacking display with plenty of sloppy handling, but they've been solid from the tee.

  20. 'Referees need to enforce scrum feed laws'published at 15:30 Greenwich Mean Time 18 March 2017

    France 10-6 Wales

    Brian Moore
Former England hooker on BBC One

I haven't had a rant at all this championship but I will do.

What is the point of having a law about putting the ball in straight, if you are going to shove it straight to the number eight's feet?

Every clubhouse you go to in the country people are screaming about this. Referees don't understand that if they enforced this, they would get better scrums and less would collapse.

Even the Duke of Edinburgh has noticed it.
