Sergio Parisse has taken a heavy knock, colliding with Italy team-mate Guilo Bisegni as they desperately covered back.
The old warhorse fires a nostril to clear his head and is staying on.

The video official says that Rhys Webb has come up just short. It must have been a matter of millimetres.

Rhys Webb started the move off with a little dart, has he finished it off as he dives and appears to dot down?
JP Doyle has gone upstairs to get a second opinion from the video official.
The grounding is marginal.

Former Wales international on BBC Radio 5 liveWales look like they have come out in the second half with a little bit more about them.
Mistakes, ill-discipline and penalties are all costing Italy at the moment.
There have been three or four penalties already in this second half and you can't afford to give Leigh Halfpenny opportunities like this.

A hint of airhorn in the air as Leigh Halfpenny steps up to address the ball.
But that does not shake his Zen-like concentration.
Another three points and breathing space.

Italian discipline is fraying now.
Sergio Parisse comes sniping round the side of the ruck, but he is far too eager out of the blocks in his pursuit of Wales scrum-half Rhys Webb.
Penalty Wales and Leigh Halfpenny is setting his sights once more.

Former Wales fly-halfThat's a great tackle. To the letter of the law, it's slightly over horizontal but he puts him down on his back.
Personally, I think all the kids in school are taught to make tackles like that. That is a textbook tackle!
There's nothing dangerous about that for me. He is not going to land on his head - it's straight onto his back.

Former Wales international on BBC Radio 5 liveIf the feet are up above the horizontal it's a penalty and the referee makes a decision whether it's a yellow card or more. I think JP Doyle got it absolutely right.
You have to look at the game and it was nothing malicious, so I think JP Doyle has got that perfectly right.
It's a disappointment for the Italians.

A monster of a hit from Italy flanker Abraham Steyn on Ross Moriarty.
The Wales number eight is picked up and dumped down flat on his back.
Ten years ago, five years ago, it would have been a coach-pleasing box-ticker.
Now it is a penalty.
Leigh Halfpenny steps up and it is a very presentable shot at goal.

A bit of a lull in the game at the moment.
Rob Howley decides to up the tempo. On come Rob Evans and Tomas Francis in the front row.
They are straight into a scrum as well.

It is a real arm-wrestle at scrum time.
The set-piece starts whirling like fairground teacups and JP Doyle decides that it is Italy who are to blame.
Penalty Wales and they clear their lines from the 22m.

Former Wales fly-halfFor the Italians, its all about performance and then the result might come to them.
For Wales, they HAVE to win it and then go back to the drawing board to look at the performance if needs be.

Anthony Gates: Anyone who thinks Sergio Parisse is not the best number 8 in the world must be absolutely mad.
Tim Abbott: If the opening weekend is anything to go by, this could be the closest, most competitive #sixnations, external we've had for a long time.
Alex Taylor: Sergio Parisse is an actual Roman gladiator, an absolute Goliath of a rugby player. Simply a joy to watch!

Former Wales international on BBC Radio 5 liveWe've seen Alun Wyn Jones carry a lot more in the first few minutes of the second half.
With Sam Davies on, he plays a lot flatter than Dan Biggar. Sam Davies will take the ball up to the line and that often gets the best out of players around him.
