Scotland fly-half Finn Russell believes his side can come away with victory if they mix the defensive strength they showed in denying France a try in a 15-8 defeat two years ago with the clinical edge they showed last weekend.

"We know how dangerous a team they can be. One to 15 as individuals they are world-class players. We can't afford to give them a sniff," he wrote in his BBC Sport column.

It is an all-you-can-eat buffet of BBC coverage this afternoon.

Gabby Logan, Thomas Castaignede, Mike Blair and Andy Nicol are in Paris and will be hitting your BBC One screens with the impact of a Ross Moriarty tackle. Although hopefully more timely. We expect them to land at 14:15 GMT.

BBC Radio 5 live sports extra are also on the scene, with radio commentary from 14:55 GMT. That will be a Radio Scotland simulcast.

You can watch the telly pictures with the wireless commentary with a tap of your red button. And you can watch the match at the top of this page as well.

Hope you are taking notes. This will be in the test.

Are the class of 2017 poised to end 18 years of pain and nine successive Stade de France defeats?

    Maybe, just maybe.

Last weekend, a blitzkrieg start and a sprint finish sandwiched some streetwise, scrapping defence to turn over Ireland at Murrayfield.

Stuart Hogg was electric, Hamish Watson was everywhere and hope sprung eternal.

Is this - the third and final act of coach Vern Cotter's reign - a real dawn for Scottish rugby?
