  2. Everything's fine, insists Boks boss Coetzeepublished at 14:17 Greenwich Mean Time 2 December 2017

South Africa coach Allister Coetzee on BBC One: "Morale is very good. It's been a great year for us with a new group of players and we've only lost three of the last 12, with wins against France and Italy, so we're looking to finish on a strong note."

On doubts over his future as Springboks coach: "Our focus is completely on this Test and there are things that we have to get right. It's not about playing pretty and entertaining rugby, it's about getting the win and we will take every opportunity tonight."

Fly-half Dan Biggar believes Wales' autumn campaign hinges on today's match

"We'll find out how come Saturday at 16:00 GMT," the Northampton-bound 10 said.

"If the scoreboard is in South Africa's favour, we will all have to admit it has probably been a poor autumn in terms of everything.

"But if we get a win, backed up against the performances against Australia and New Zealand, I think it will be a pretty decent autumn and will build in nicely to the Six Nations and the summer tour."

Hadleigh Parkes plays for Wales on the very day he qualifies after serving a three-year residency with Scarlets.

He has credentials which strike a chord in west Wales, having been brought up on a sheep and cattle farm on New Zealand's North Island.

"It's about two to two and a half thousand acres," he told reporters this week.

That's not a farm Hadleigh. In Wales, that's a county.

    Jeremy Guscott
Former Lions and England centre on BBC One

I think Wales are being too nice. It was a poor performance against Australia and they had more than enough opportunities against New Zealand, and that's because their skill set isn't good enough.

They've got to start bringing younger talent through and surely there's enough in Wales' talent pool.

I think the one good thing to come out of this autumn is that we have exposed a lot of new players to our system and yes, we have had a lot of absentee's but we can't keep using that as an excuse anymore.

Hadleigh Parkes: Wales' new centre is excited

"This is a real opportunity and a real privilege to be given this opportunity."

Hadleigh Parkes, 30, was docking the tails off sheep back in November 2014 on a 2,500-acre family farm.

Now though, having served his three-year residency while playing for Scarlets, the New Zealander will make his debut for Wales.

"I’ve been having a few lessons off Rhys Patchell on the anthem,” he reveals.

“He has sung it a couple of times for me and I’ve recorded him so if he tries to stitch me up I can always go back to that!”

If you had to come up with the most Eben Etzebeth-y thing to say on the eve of a Test, you couldn't beat the man himself.

"We always look to our scrum as a weapon. We're a set-piece team - we like scrummaging, we like the line-outs, we like the mauling battle," the South African second-row enforcer said.

"Whoever's playing for them we're always going to go for them at scrums, maul and line-outs."

South Africa, who suffered a record loss to Ireland before victories, narrow and comfortable respectively, against France and Italy, have changed things up.

Two of those changes are enforced with back row Francois Louw returning to Bath and number eight Duane Vermuelen back at Toulon.

Hooker Malcolm Marx, who was hugely impressive in the Rugby Championship this year, is back at two.

South Africa: Andries Coetzee; Dillyn Leyds, Jesse Kriel, Francois Venter, Warrick Gelant; Handré Pollard, Ross Cronje; Steven Kitshoff, Malcolm Marx, Wilco Louw, Eben Etzebeth, Lood de Jager, Siya Kolisi, Pieter-Steph du Toit, Dan du Preez.

    Talk about timing.

Scarlets centre Hadleigh Parkes will make his Wales debut today - on the first day he becomes available through the three-year residency rule.

The New Zealander, 30, lines up at centre alongside Scott Williams.

In the back-row, Taulupe Faletau is available despite being based in England, although his club side Bath face being fined by Premiership Rugby for releasing the number eight for a match outside World Rugby's autumn Tests window.

Lions Sam Warburton, George North and Ross Moriarty are all out with long-term injuries, while centre Jonathan Davies was injured in the opening loss to the Wallabies.

Wales: L Halfpenny (Scarlets); H Amos (Dragons), S Williams (Scarlets), H Parkes (Scarlets), S Evans (Scarlets); D Biggar (Ospreys), A Davies (Scarlets); R Evans (Scarlets), K Dacey (Cardiff Blues), S Andrews (Cardiff Blues), C Hill (Dragons), A W Jones (Ospreys, capt), A Shingler (Scarlets), J Navidi (Cardiff Blues), T Faletau (Bath).

Replacements: E Dee (Dragons), W Jones (Scarlets), R Jones (Ospreys), S Davies (Cardiff Blues), D Lydiate (Ospreys), R Webb (Ospreys), R Patchell (Scarlets), O Watkin (Ospreys).

Nothing in the autumn equals the All Blacks in terms of ticket sales and anticipation, but the Welsh Rugby Union are expecting close to 70,000 at the Principality Stadium today.

The early arrivals are being treated to a replay of Wales's record win over England in the 2013 Six Nations . . . wishful thinking perhaps?

No other northern hemisphere host had as exacting an autumn as Wales.

A mix-and-match side held on for victory against Georgia. But either side of that solitary win came a 29-21 defeat by Australia and a 33-18 reverse to New Zealand.

While the rest of the home nations stuck at three Tests, Wales twisted for four and so Warren Gatland can complete a full house of southern hemisphere superpowers.
