  1. Penalty - Ireland 30-20 Walespublished at 76 mins

    Conor Murray

Johnny Sexton leaves the field to be replaced by Joey Carberry, so the kick is taken up by Conor Murray.

And it just squeezes through the uprights. The ball takes a knick off the left-hand post and scrapes over the bar.

Ireland have a 10-point lead. Has the game gone for Wales?

Shane O'Neill: If Sexton had been anywhere near his normal kicking level, this game would have been over 20 minutes ago.

    Ireland 27-20 Wales

Scott Williams is put in a lot of trouble by Gareth Anscombe's pass with Chris Farrell haring towards him out of the line. The Welsh centre does well not to concede the penalty, and the visitors come away with the scrum.

But that's another dent to the Wales cause. Ireland dominate the set-piece and will surely go for goal here. This is no time for a quick tap, Johnny.

Gareth Davies hasn't made a lot of mistakes today, but that knock-on is one of them. It's a real shame for Wales, as Ireland looked to be under a lot of pressure there.

We're into the final 10 minutes in Dublin and this match is still in the balance.

New entry George North takes the long way round on the right wing and burns a few Irish shirts before Rob Kearney hangs on for dear life to bring him down.

But Wales get slow ball at the break down, Gareth Davies goes digging and knocks the ball on. That's got to be frustrating.

Josh Navidi has had another lumberjack day in the Wales back row, chopping down some serious amounts of heavy Irish lumber.

The Cardiff flanker has made 17 tackles so far today, more than any other player on the pitch.

Conor Murray is on his feet though, much to the delight of the Aviva crowd.

Wales with the scrum five metres from their own try line and Gareth Davies runs it from the back of the pack. He's done well there with Murray sniffing around.

Wales are attacking from deep, Steff Evans hurtles after his own kick and that's an excellent return for Wales. They'll have a scrum on the 10-metre line after Rob Kearney fails to find Fergus McFadden. A 10th handling error in the game for Ireland.

David Morgan: This is the usual from Wales. Basic errors which have cost them points to start, now chasing the game they throw the ball around and get rewards when there's nothing to lose.

  11. Earls injury blow for Irishpublished at 15:47 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February 2018

    Ireland 27-20 Wales

    Cian Murtagh
BBC Sport NI at the Aviva Stadium

Keith Earls will be a loss for Ireland. He must have picked up an injury to be replaced because he was just electric for an hour.

The decision to attack down the narrow side from the five-metre scrum was because Earls was one-on-one against Steff Evans but Murray just couldn’t get the ball to him.

Next, Earls is burning past Aaron Shingler in a thrilling foot race with just the bounce of the ball denying him and minutes later he’s picking himself up off the ground and hurling himself into tackles. He’s been a joy to watch.

    Ireland 27-20 Wales

I billed this as a titanic tussle and it's lived up to the hype.

Wales have wrestled their way back into this fixture, but with Ireland going through the phases, Scott Williams is pulled for ripping the ball from Chris Farrell in the tackle. That one didn't look conclusive.

Ireland with the penalty and with the stadium watching the replay, Johnny Sexton goes for the quick tap. It doesn't pay off though as Wales get their defence sorted.

Conor Murray looks in a bit of a pickle, he got his knee stuck in the tackle there.

When you look at the modern game, you see two fly-halves like we've got today, they're among the most two committed players on the pitch, they want to be involved in everything. International rugby has moved on so much, especially for no.10s, and these two show it perfectly.

The first period of sustained pressure that Wales have had in a while, and it's given them a try. It's really the first time they've put a few phases together - it's the first time that Ireland have had to defend!

Replacements all over the place here. Justin Tipuric comes on for Ross Moriarty and Bradley Davies also joins the Welsh pack in place of Cory Hill.

Meanwhile in the Ireland camp, Keith Earls has been replaced by Fergus McFadden and Jack McGrath enters the forward pack for Andrew Porter.

Last one, Jack Conan replaces flanker Peter O'Mahony.

There, I think we're up to date.

    Aaron Shingler, con Halfpenny

Aaron Shingler is over in the corner!

Credit goes to Dan Biggar, who makes the initial yards by collecting his own chip kick.

Steff Evans storms away down the left, Wales work extremely hard to recycle the ball and Josh Navidi finds Shingler on the right wing for his first ever Test try.

Clinical from Wales. And that's some conversion from Halfpenny. Wales trail by seven.
