Every player in that Scotland side will be remembered forever - it was that kind of game.

But to have a moment that defines the game - like Huw Jones' second try - is incredible.

This game will be remembered for an individual try of world-class stature. His all-round game was outstanding and England had no answer to him.

Everyone comes to Murrayfield expecting a win now, and that's not happened for a very long time. And I think the crowd really helped with the defensive effort in the second half.

Alex: Whilst England were poor all credit should go to Scotland for that. Great performance defensively. well deserved victory.

Anon: Well played Scotland. England were too slow and lacking ideas and drive. Can anyone tell me why Jonathan Joseph is in the team.

England head coach Eddie Jones speaking to BBC One: "Congratulations Scotland, they were too good for us today.

"It's human nature, unfortunately we just weren't in the game for the first 40 minutes, so full marks to Scotland. We knew what we were going to get, but we just couldn't meet the challenge today.

"We've got two games to go, and we'll look to learn from what happened today, and put our best foot forward."

On the altercation in the tunnel before the match and did it effect England: "I don't know, I don't think so, these things happen."

On the number of penalties conceded by England: "It wasn't flash today, we need to sit down and look at why we gave so many penalties away, and look to put it right next time."

Scotland have the talent, the strategy, and the execution. They played magnificently and this has to be the beginning of something.

It's been a brilliant week for Gregor Townsend. He has got it spot on this week.

Scotland captain John Barclay speaking on BBC One:

"We were fuelled by last year and the disappointment of the Wales game. We said after that we didn't become a bad team overnight. That win blows the competition open now.

"I predicted Finn Russell would be man of the match on Friday. He plays on that line, he didn't have his best games in the first two matches but today he was outstanding. He's one of the best stand-offs in the world I believe."

    Gavin Hastings

That was as good a victory Scotland have had probably since 1986 and it was thoroughly deserved. They had a game plan and executed it as close to perfection as Scotland are capable of doing.

Scotland fly-half Finn Russell speaking to BBC One: "It's amazing, just listen to the crowd. But it's unreal for us, it's been 10 years since we won it, so it's great to be a part of it.

"It's been a tough few weeks for me, but I'll keep smiling. We might not have had the best few games, but we kept going and to come out with the win is brilliant.

"We had a game plan today and we stuck to it really well. The last couple of games have been tough, but if we play like that every week we'll do okay."

    Scotland were superb.

But England were absolutely awful. Their defence was flimsy, their attack was undermined by a raft of basic errors.
