Anon: Why doesn't Nigel Owens put on a blue jersey to finish off a perfect day?

Tom Sharp: I normally like Mr Owens but there have been some hugely marginal calls this afternoon, not least that yellow and penalty!

John Barclay has been immense. A mammoth performance from the Scotland flanker.

Once again we find him clamped over the top of the breakdown like a barnacle.

Turnover. Scotland penalty. Cheered as loud as a try.

Scotland's players will clear their lines. Relief floods round the ground.

From this position Scotland should not lose this game, and if they play sensibly and with the same intensity as they have done so far I think they will do.

Scotland are 12 points clear with as many minutes to go.

  5. Sin-bin - England's Sam Underhillpublished at 66 mins

    Scotland 22-13 England

You just can't do that nowadays.

Sam Underhill goes in on Ryan Wilson, but plants his shoulder into the Scotland number eight's chest without wrapping his arms.

That is yellow. Underhill gone for 10 minutes, England down to 14 men and Scotland with a shot at goal.

It's such a boost to see young talents like Blair Kinghorn come through - he's an electric talent. He's very, very quick with ball in hand.

England have to create something from this game, so I'm surprised to see George Ford go off for Ben Te'o, I'd have thought Jonathan Joseph would have been the one going off. It still feels like England will need that Ford-Owen Farrell link up.

    More changes for both teams.

England bring on Ben Te'o for George Ford with Owen Farrell shifting to fly-half. Route One?

Harry Williams is on in the England front row.

Blair Kinghorn is on for the injured Tommy Seymour for Scotland.

Scotland's scrum still shows no sign of creaking, deep in the game and a whole load of front row changes down.

England are playing some brain-dead rugby. Jonny May cannot pick a pass up off his kneecaps and then Courtney Lawes gives away a penalty with a blatant kick at the ball while it is is Ali Price's hands at the back of the ruck.

Eddie Jones has made the same selection mistake in picking a clearly unfit Nathan Hughes today, that he made last season when he rushed Billy Vunipola in against Ireland when he wasn't fit either. It may seem petty given his win ratio - but he's not always the best selector.

    Gavin Hastings
Former Lions and Scotland full-back on BBC Radio 5 live

I am getting a bit edgy but Scotland are playing a good game and as long as they don't make any mistakes the momentum is still with them.

  13. Huw Jones out on his ownpublished at 18:15 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February 2018

    Scotland 22-13 England

Scotland centre Huw Jones has made a whopping 133 individual metres in the first 60 minutes of this game. He accounts for over a quarter of Scotland's total metres.

The try-scorer also has four clean breaks to his name and has beaten five defenders.

To put that in comparison, the next best metre-maker on the field, from either side, is Finn Russell with 48.

    Scotland 22-13 England

Finn Russell's mistakes have been few and far between today, but that is an error as he forces and offload and the ball strays forward.

And a big call from Gregor Townsend.

The Scotland coach hooks the experience and leadership of Greig Laidlaw and puts the nip and zip of Ali Price on in his place at scrum-half.

The English defence has been strong in this second half, it's forcing Scotland to try different things, like miss-passes and grubber kicks.

    England with more schoolboy errors.

Jonny May receives the ball with his feet already in touch and then Joe Launchbury takes out the Scotland catcher in the air from the resulting line-out.

The video debrief is going to be messy at Pennyhill, even if England escape with a win.
