    Chris Paterson
Former Scotland international on BBC One

It's really intriguing so far, Scotland are looking to pass the ball lots, whereas England are looking to be very direct. It's like both defences are trying to force a mistake, and whichever team makes the first mistake will be made to suffer.

    There she blows.

England back level. Nothing to choose between the two sides so far.

    Scotland 3-0 England

England go back to their banker ball.

A slow, rumbling rolling maul creeps into Scotland territory from halfway.

And then they spin wide... Jonny May with some space which his raking stride swallows up. Stuart Hogg meets him with a solid tackle.

But Hamish Watson is penalised for not rolling away from the breakdown.

Owen Farrell likes the look of this one and calls for the tee...

  4. Battle of the breakdownpublished at 16:57 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February 2018

    Scotland 3-0 England

We've played 10 minutes at Murrayfield and we've already seen four clean turnovers - the battle of the breakdown, as the cliche goes, is key.

Grant Gilchrist, Hamish Watson and Ryan Wilson are on the board for the hosts, but Chris Robshaw has put his hands up (or over the ball) in reply for England.

Scotland edging that area at the moment.

    Scotland 3-0 England

Finn Russell gets a shot of confidence straight into the main vein, claiming Danny Care's snowy box-kick and replying with a whopper of a spiral kick back downfield.

Stuart Hogg gets to stretch his legs for the first time and it takes two England defenders to snare him.

    Scotland have started very well.

  6. 'Scotland will be very happy'published at 16:55 Greenwich Mean Time 24 February 2018

    Scotland 3-0 England

    Brian Moore
Former England hooker on BBC One

From Scotland's point of view, they must be very happy with how they've got around England's defence, which at times, is very narrow. But nonetheless that is great work from Chris Robshaw to steal back possession for England.

  7. Postpublished at 7 mins

    Scotland 3-0 England

'Scotland, Scotland, Scotland' rings around Murrayfield.

Sean Maitland gets into a bit of space down the left wing and his team are up to within 25m of the England whitewash.

But Chris Robshaw is first on the scene as John Barclay leaves his support behind. He limpets on and Nigel Owen blows up England's way.

It a Wild West scene at the breakdown at the moment, lots of contest and turnovers.

    Turnover!

Scotland have been smart and quick over the breakdown so far and Anthony Watson is the latest to be ambushed.

Finn Russell clears up towards halfway.

    Scotland 3-0 England

    Brian Moore

It's a great pity for Scotland they couldn't get someone on Peter Horne's shoulder when he made that break. This penalty will be exactly what Scotland wanted, and exactly what you don't want as an away side, early points on the board.

The first tackle will be one to watch. I predict the lid will come off within three minutes..,.
