  1. France 0-3 Englandpublished at 9 mins

France are making a hash of this in the early stages.

After Bonneval's terrible inside pass, Maxime Machenaud's box kick is charged down by Courtney Lawes, who stole the line-out originally, but the back row can't run onto the loose ball.

And France are back defending again.

And the award for the photo of the day, possibly the century, goes to... Chris.

The twins were a good luck charm before they were born, but can the babies help England to a four-try victory now they're out?

  3. France 0-3 Englandpublished at 8 mins

England have started well in Paris, a penalty on the board and now they're into their 11th phase.

But I've cursed it. The play breaks down as Sebastien Vahaamahina gets his hands on the ball and it's booted clear.

Anthony Watson will launch another England attack from the half-way line as Owen Farrell dinks a kick through for Hugo Bonneval to claim. But that's a panicked pass and Chris Robshaw scoops up.

It was hard to tell who went down first there in the scrum to give away the penalty but it is a big moment for England to get the early lead.

The team have got to step up, and the individuals have got to step up for England. It's a big ask to come to France and go home with a bonus-point win, but that's what they have to do.

Owen Farrell, captaining England for the first time, gets his side on the board with a well-struck penalty.

    France 0-0 England

The French crowd are on their feet, but they need to sit down, they haven't heard the referees whistle.

Marco Tauleigne collected a forward pass, before setting off on a rampaging run, and we'll come back for the scrum though.

Two minutes in and our first set-piece of the game brings a penalty to England. Posts it is.

  9. Kick-offpublished at 1 min

    France 0-0 England

A bit of a stall before the kick-off but Le Crunch is finally under way.

France have lost their last three matches at home, and England need a four-try win. This could be tight.

French fly-half Francois Trinh-Duc gets the game going at the Stade de France.

  10. 'Grand slam in touching distance'published at 16:42 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2018

    FT: Ireland 28-8 Scotland

Just a reminder to England of what Ireland did earlier in the day.

A win in Scotland means they are four from four, and England need...

Yes, a bonus-point win. But I'm sure you know that by now!

  11. O'Connell's prediction?published at 16:41 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2018

    I fancy England.

I don't think the Top14 prepares France for Six Nations rugby.

I don't think the French players have the fitness or discipline.

That was actually one of the most tuneful renditions of God Save the Queen I've ever heard.

A strong English following in Paris, and they even sang in time to the band.

    But now for La Marseillaise...

    France v England (16:45 GMT)

Bastareaud might not look like a breakdown specialist, but don't be fooled.

The centre claimed four turnovers against Italy, and with England's woes in that area, the bulk of Bastareaud will be feared.

His toulon team-mate Chris Ashton says the only way to keep him out the game is... by making it fast.

Ashton spoke to Matt Dawson's Rugby Show about the "quiet man".

(But maybe wait until after the game, on your way home perhaps?)

Or, the Toulon tank, l'enfant terrible, maturing Mathieu and France's beast from the east.

Bastareaud has attracted a lot of attention in the English media this week.

The 19st 9lb centre, the heaviest back in the tournament, put in powerful performance against Italy having returned from a three-week ban for homophobic abuse.

Bastareaud blitzed his way through the Azzurri defence, created one try, scored another and even won four turnovers at the breakdown.

Can anyone stop him against England?

Eddie Jones has stuck with the same back row that faced Scotland against France.

But his faith in his players has been described as "funny and amazing" by former France flanker Serge Betsen.

England conceded nine turnovers at the breakdown in their defeat at Murrayfield.

And Betsen says France will target that area.

  20. 'England lack leadership and decision makers'published at 16:34 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2018

    France v England (16.45 GMT)

    Matt Dawson
Former Lions and England scrum-half on BBC Radio 5 live

When England lost at Murrayfield, I just didn't see anyone step up and change the way they were playing defensively. Someone needed to change the way they were defending at the breakdown.

I don't see a great deal of decision making or leadership in the England team, and I don't think it's an Eddie Jones team issue, it's been there in the set-up for a long while.
