  1. try

Converted try - Ireland 28-8 Scotlandpublished at 69 mins

    Sean Cronin, con Sexton

    England, it's over to you.

Ireland secure easy ball from the line-out, CJ Stander leads a huge drive and replacement Jack Cronin pops over for the all-important fourth try.

Could that have won the Championship for Ireland?

Johnny Sexton, having made the decision to go for the corner, adds the extras. But who needs them?

  2. Ireland 21-8 Scotlandpublished at 68 mins

    And that moment comes now.

John Barclay penalised at the breakdown, and this time Johnny Sexton goes for the corner.

The Irish crowd applaud and are on their feet...

  3. And in Paris...published at 15:52 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2018

    France v England (16.45 GMT)

    Tom Fordyce
Chief sports writer at Stade de France

The predicted deluge has either sidestepped Paris or accelerated through this morning. Dry and warm now in Saint-Denis, as if spring is attempting to finally break winter’s choke hold.

  4. Ireland 21-8 Scotlandpublished at 67 mins

After that miss, Sexton takes over the captain's armband with Rory Best leaving the field.

The Irish number 10 could have some big calls to make in the final period of this game.

Remember, Ireland are five points ahead of England in the table, with the reigning Champions set to play France in Paris later this afternoon.

    Ireland 21-8 Scotland

    Rory Lawson
Former Scotland captain on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

Scotland are still in this fight, they're 13 points behind, but they're still in it, and we've seen in this championship when they get on a roll, they can really score quickly.

    Ireland 21-8 Scotland

    Denis Hickie
Former Ireland winger on BBC Radio 5 live sports extra

Ireland just need to settle themselves down now, get past that two-score game, and just go again. That's what they did really well against Wales last time.

  8. Missed penalty - Ireland 21-8 Scotlandpublished at 66 mins

    Johnny Sexton

    And it doesn't pay off.

Ireland could have put two converted tries between themselves and Scotland, but that's an uncharacteristic miss from Sexton.

15 minutes to get a bonus-point score for Ireland.

  9. Ireland 21-8 Scotlandpublished at 64 mins

And that's an interesting call from Ireland.

Johnny Sexton turns down a kick to the corner and will take the three points.

A big moment in this championship?

  10. Ireland 21-8 Scotlandpublished at 63 mins

    Ooooooh dear.

The usually ice cool Johnny Sexton misses touch with his penalty but Scotland kick possession away are inviting the green shirts to attack.

And now they've conceded another penalty. "Too many times," says Wayne Barnes. He's not a happy man, the Scottish shirts - in this case back rower David Denton - are not rolling away satisfactorily at the ruck.

  11. Ireland 21-8 Scotlandpublished at 62 mins

It's messy, but Scotland survive the first wave.

Conor Murray fires a flat pass to Garry Ringrose but Fraser Brown gets his hands around the ball and Ireland concede the penalty.

  12. Still all to play forpublished at 15:46 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2018

    Ireland 21-8 Scotland

    Cian Murtagh
BBC Sport NI at the Aviva Stadium

The sun is now shining on this contest and both teams are producing some thrilling rugby.

Not for the first time in this match, a nervous ripple went around the ground when Ireland turned down a kick at goal but Murray’s try was the reward for their ambition.

Scotland’s attack is still sputtering. Kinghorn’s try was a nicely-worked routine, but Horne and Maitland have both been guilty of rushed passes when a try seemed likely.

  13. Ireland 21-8 Scotlandpublished at 61 mins

This is a big defensive scrum for Scotland right on their own line.

With 20 minutes left to play in Dublin, Ireland are hunting a fourth try and that all-important bonus-point.

England, preparing for their evening match in Paris, will be praying Scotland hold out.

  15. Ireland 21-8 Scotlandpublished at 60 mins

This is a sustained period of pressure from Ireland and they're difficult to stop from five metres out.

Rob Kearney closes in on the line but that's an important tackle from Huw Jones who fells him by his ankles.

But 18 phases of play is brought to an end though by Wayne Barnes. The ball is "stuck under legs" apparently.

    Scotland survive, for the moment.

Daffyd: Scotland have butchered three guilt-edge tries and given a try to Ireland... Ireland have been a lot more accurate and clinical - that is the difference.

Callum: This Scottish back line definitely have money on the Irish... where were you all two weeks ago!?

  17. Breakdown woe for Scotlandpublished at 15:40 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2018

    Ireland 21-8 Scotland

It's not only handling errors letting Scotland down this afternoon.

If they are going to to turn the tide, they'll have to get on the right side of Wayne Barnes at the breakdown.

Gregor Townsend's side have conceded six penalties in this match. All six have come at the breakdown.

  20. Replacements - Scotlandpublished at 56 mins

    Ireland 21-8 Scotland

Scotland are making changes in their front row, but it's their backs who need to sharpen up.

Jamie Bhatti and Willem Nel are on in place of Gordon Reid and Simon Berghan.
