  1. France 0-7 Englandpublished at 21 mins

The French crowd are encouraged by that sin bin. There's plenty of noise as the French backs give the ball some air from hand. They work the ball up towards the 22 but try scorer Abigail Dow gets across well to cover a grubber kick.

    Rachael Burford

Yep. The ref doesn't like what she sees and sends Burford on her way.

Burford is deemed to have had enough time to get out of her opponents way before clattering her with her shoulder.

    England down to 14.

  3. France 0-7 Englandpublished at 20:19 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2018

Ooooh. This is a little naughty.

France's full-back Jessy Tremouliere boots clear and is clattered in the air by England's Rachael Burford.

The referee wants another look at this. Burford could be in trouble.

  4. France 0-7 Englandpublished at 15 mins

Now a penalty the other way. The scrum cap-wearing Julie Duval gets pats on the back all round as she wins a penalty at a ruck.

The French mess up the kick, failing to find touch, but do get a put in at the scrum a few moments later.

  5. France 0-7 Englandpublished at 13 mins

The crowd are roaring as the French look to respond immediately. Pauline Bourdon skips through one tackle but is hauled down. This is still dangerous. Inside the England 22.

Not for long! England win the turnover. Brilliant defence. And now they win the penalty at the resulting scrum. Lines cleared.

    Abigail Dow

    Lift off!

    What a try this is.

England work the phases in the middle of the park before spinning it out. Prop Sarah Bern finds herself out wide and she plays a lovely pass to her right to find Abigail Dow. Dow skips inside the tackler and in for the try. Beautiful.

The extras are added as well. The perfect start for England.

  7. France 0-0 Englandpublished at 8 mins

Ah. England make a mess of that chance. First a fumble allows France to clear their lines before England give away a penalty at the breakdown.

Still, those phases have quietened the crowd.

  8. France 0-0 Englandpublished at 6 mins

Hello. From that line-out on half way England have made excellent ground. They're up into the French 22.

  9. France 0-0 Englandpublished at 5 mins

Good pressure from England. Poppy Cleall charges down a kick from French number 10 Caroline Droin. England have shown they mean business despite the ball going back into the hands of the French.

Both sides are flying into the tackles and now France try to kick the ball out wide but get too much on it. England's line-out.

  10. France 0-0 Englandpublished at 2 mins

England have won this ball back after the kick-off and have the ball in a rolling maul.

It's held up though and the French win the turn over despite being pushed back close to their five metre line.

    To the scrum we go.

Crikey. The French players, crowd and ball kids belt out La Marseillaise.

The England team link arms in a huddle. It's them against the French team plus over 15,000 supporters tonight.

    Here we go.

This game is at the foot of the Alps in south west France – at the aptly named Stade des Alpes – and looks to be the most intense atmosphere of the competition.

The players have just taken to the pitch for the anthems and the stands are packed close to the 20,000 capacity.

    The locals are roaring already.

  15. England's biggest testpublished at 19:55 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2018

France women v England women (20:00 GMT)

These two are comfortably the best two sides in the Women’s Six Nations. They met in last year’s World Cup semi-final, with England coming out on top, and in these 2018 Championships both are on 15 points, only separated by points difference.

France have only conceded three points so far while England have the best attack with 137 points scored in three games. France aren’t too shabby going forward either with 107 points so far.

England coach Simon Middleton is under no illusions of the task ahead.

“Outside travelling to New Zealand this is the most difficult place to come and win,” he said.

“It was always going to be the toughest game in the tournament and we’ll now find out what we are made of.”

One Le Crunch down, one to go.

One Six Nations title is already decided and we'll have a pretty good idea about the destination of another in a couple of hours.

In just a few minutes France Women v England Women gets under way in Grenoble.

France and England are the two unbeaten sides so far with three wins each. A win today will take either team clear at the top with one match to play.

Right then. There are less than 10 minutes to go until kick-off over the channel in Grenoble.

England women have the biggest test of their Six Nations defence coming up against unbeaten France.

The French flags are waving. There's quite an atmosphere building.

Anon: England were under-powered and out-thought. It's the second time Ford has showed his fragility and the unbalanced back row were well beaten. Dan Cole is at the end of his term in my view, he doesn't add anything other than ballast and is a liability in the loose.

  19. Ireland celebrations muted - Sextonpublished at 19:44 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2018

More from Sexton, this time asked if his last minute drop goal against France to win on the opening day of the 2018 Six Nations felt like a championship-winning moment.

    "I guess it is now.

"Like we said after it was a very special moment for the team. We will look back on that five minutes when we lift the trophy next week, hopefully with a Grand Slam, and say it was a huge moment in our success.

"It is muted upstairs. It is a strange feeling to win the championship with a game to go. We know how difficult it will be. The shoe is on the other foot from last year and I am sure they will be licking their lips."

  20. Sexton on Grand Slam hopespublished at 19:40 Greenwich Mean Time 10 March 2018

Johnny Sexton was around the Ireland squad for their 2009 Grand Slam but did not make his debut until later that year.

He's been speaking about whether it is one of his personal goals to win a Grand Slam.

"I'd be lying if said otherwise," he said.

"In 2009, I definitely didn't feel (part of it). I remember some of the talks the (Paul) O'Connell's, (Brian) O'Driscoll's, (Ronan) O'Gara's who had been trying to achieve this for 10 years, you could tell by their actions how much it meant to them.

"It is very similar now. Rory (Best) is desperate for a Grand Slam. For us it is about dragging the young lads along. They might think they have loads of opportunities but as I know it doesn't work like that."
