Italy have made just one change for the trip to Cardiff folllowing their 34-17 defeat in France.

Centre Giulio Bisegni replaces Tommaso Boni.

A bit boring really compared to Wales.

Italy: Minozzi; Benvenuti, Bisegni, Castello, Bellini; Allan, Violi; Lovotti, Ghiraldini, Ferrari, Zanni, Budd, Negri, Mbanda, Parisse (capt).

Replacements: Fabiani, Quaglio, Pasquali, Ruzza, Licata, Palazzani, Canna, Hayward.

  2. Can Davies score a try?published at 14:35 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2018

    Wales v Italy (15:00 GMT)

No, not Gareth Davies, James Davies, or even Sam Davies, I'm talking about Bradley Davies.

    It's confusing, I know.

Nine years, 60 appearances and 0 tries for the lock.

But the 31-year-old is returning to Wales' starting line-up this afternoon hoping today is the day.

"My father keeps putting a fiver on me," he said. "He said the one time he doesn't bet, I will score.

"My dad reckons he's wasted a bit [of money] down the years."

    So do I Bradley...

Former Lions and Wales flanker on BBC One

It's bold from Warren Gatland to make so many changes, because the last time Wales made so many changes against Italy was in 2009, and we only just got over the line then. But nonetheless, it's very brave, and exciting for the Welsh fans.

Yes Cubby boi is the younger brother of Wales centre Jonathan 'Fox' Davies, hence his tag-line.

He even had it tattooed on his knuckles, courtesy of a Scarlets trip to LA back in 2015.

And he better behave himself at the rucks, it won't be hard to spot an infringement.

Many feel it's a well overdue call-up for 27-year-old Davies, but what's all the fuss about?

The Scarlets flanker is an Olympic silver medallist, he won the Pro12 with his region last year and his brother is British and Irish Lions centre Jonathan Davies.

He's famed for prodigious breakdown work, a punishingly-high tackle count and the handling and running skills of an outside back.

And now the forward, who goes by the name 'Cubby Boi', has his chance to announce himself on the international stage.

There has been a late change to the Wales squad with Ospreys prop Rhodri Jones replacing the ill Samson Lee on the replacements bench.

This to add to the 10 changes already made to the starting side from the side that lost against Ireland.

It has been quite a week for Jones who was only drafted into the squad on Tuesday to cover for the injured loose-head Wyn Jones.

He now finds himself deputising for the starting Tomas Francis with Lee and Dillon Lewis ruled out through illness.

Yes, this came as a surprise to most of us, but Wales coach Warren Gatland has made 10 changes from the side that lost to Ireland.

And the biggest one of all?

Scarlets flanker James Davies, has been handed his first international cap.

Liam Williams, Steff Evans, Hadleigh Parkes, Gareth Davies and Cory Hill are the only survivors from the 37-27 defeat in Dublin.

Taulupe Faletau also returns at number eight to captain the side.

Wales: L Williams, North, Watkin, Parkes, S Evans; Anscombe, G Davies; Smith, Dee, Francis, Hill, B Davies, Tipuric, J Davies, Faletau (capt).

Replacements: Owens, R Evans, R Jones, S Davies, Jenkins, A Davies, Patchell, Halfpenny.

  14. Italy beat Wales at the Principalitypublished at 14:18 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2018

    Wales 15-22 Italy

Italy consigned Wales to their third straight Women's Six Nations defeat earlier today, as three Welsh players were sin-binned.

The Azzurri won a closely-fought match at the Principality Stadium 22-15.

The bonus-point win, which came via tries from Isabella Locatelli, Maria Magatti, Beatrice Rigoni and Michella Sillari, also represented a first win of the Six Nations for Italy, and their first win in eight matches in all.

  15. Last-gasp try sinks Englandpublished at 14:14 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2018

    France 18-17 England

There was a distinct lack of quality in Paris, but over in Grenoble it was a different story as England lost to France for the second time on Saturday.

England women's hopes of a second successive Six Nations title were ended by Jessy Tremouliere's 79th-minute try.

The match was played in in front of a crowd of 17,440, a Women's Six Nations record.

You can read the full story of the game here and have a watch of the last-gasp try.

  16. England collapse in Parispublished at 14:11 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2018

    France 22-16 England

England did manage a bonus point in Paris, but it was the wrong one.

Eddie Jones' side were beaten by France in a turgid and error-strewn match at the Stade de France.

The French held out for only their second win of the year, as England lost successive matches for the first time under Jones.

    It wasn't pretty.

Have a read of the match report, and Tom Fordyce's pretty blunt assessment of England's broken breakdown.

  17. Ruthless Irelandpublished at 14:08 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2018

    Ireland 28-8 Scotland

Ireland began the day five points clear of England at the top of the Six Nations table.

Schmidt's side knew a bonus-point victory in Dublin would require England to do the same in Paris to keep the title race alive...

    And they did just that.

Try-scoring machine Jacob Stockdale added another two to his name with scores from Conor Murray and Sean Cronin wrapping up a ruthless victory.

  19. As it stands...published at 14:05 Greenwich Mean Time 11 March 2018

    Wales v Italy (15:00 GMT)

Ireland have the 2018 Six Nations crown following their bonus-point victory over Scotland in Dublin.

England, despite losing to France in Paris, are second in the table and can deny the Irish a first Grand Slam since 2009 at Twickenham next weekend.

Wales sit fifth in the table, having only beaten Scotland in the 2018 tournament.

BUT, a bonus-point victory over Italy this afternoon would catapult them up to second place.

    And avoiding the wooden spoon.
