    Handre Pollard

Crikey. 57m out and Pollard clears the post comfortably. Helped by altitude yes but that's a beautiful kick.

England are behind for the first time.

The penalty count is adding up. England off their feet at the ruck.

South Africa are going to go for goal here. Handre Pollard is well inside his own half.

England needed to be patient there, it was a nice move and there was plenty of momentum. But you would have given all money for Mako Vunipola to hold onto that ball and set up the next phase, but he didn't and that shows how much pressure there is out there.

Spilled by Mako Vunipola. Easy to say now but was that the right call by England? They turned down a routine three points in search of more but let the chance go begging.

This is exactly what England need with four minutes to go, they need to squeeze the South African defence and get their electric backline moving.

James Hoste: Eng V SA second test has the best dj I've ever heard at a sporting event. With a cheeky sense of humour as well.

More boos from the home crowd. They're really not happy with Romain Poite. He's given a penalty to England for another foul at the breakdown.

Faf de Klerk and young England flanker Tom Curry are both receiving treatment. They clashed heads a couple of moments ago.

  9. 'South Africa under pressure at scrum'published at 16:49 British Summer Time 16 June 2018

    South Africa 10-12 England

    Victor Matfield
Former South Africa captain on BBC Radio 5 live

I think South Africa are a little bit under pressure at the scrum, Frans Malherbe hasn't played a lot of rugby of late, so to come back in to a game of this intensity is tough.

Farrell has certainly been in this game in the opening 33 minutes. He's been kicking clear, in the ear of the referee and charging up in England's defensive line.

His side now get another tick at the scrum. They force the foul and now get the put-in.

England are under huge pressure, they're 1-0 down in the series, and they're away from home. Owen Farrell put in a superb kick there, and it's crucial that he keeps winning his battles if England are going to get a positive result.

Tom McCarron: We need to get May involved more, he's up for this and when he runs with the ball we look dangerous.

Conrad: Someone please tell the DJ in Bloemfontein to pipe down.

Billy Vunipola makes up for his brother's mistake. He rips the ball out of a tackle and that gives Farrell the chance to clear for England.

The crowd are really getting into this. They're all on their feet, trying their best to support the Springboks and perhaps just influence the referee.

  14. 'Push to the side of the head'published at 16:45 British Summer Time 16 June 2018

    South Africa 10-12 England

    Matt Dawson
Former Lions and England scrum-half on BBC Radio 5 live

It looks like there have been a few words, but it's not even a slap from Mako Vunipola, it's a push in the side of the head.

England need to be a bit smarter here, they need to be squeaky clean and keep the ref on their side.

  15. Postpublished at 31 mins

    South Africa 10-12 England

Romain Poite resists the calls to send Vunipola to the bin. The South Africa players aren't happy.

Anyway, a good attacking position wasted by England through pure petulance.

Mako Vunipola could be in trouble here. He's needlessly waved a slap at a South African man on the floor.

The crowd boo. They want to see yellow.

Another tussle. I'm not entirely sure what for but both teams are at each other.

"We're trying to play rugby," says Owen Farrell in his Wigan tones.

  18. Penalty - South Africa 10-12 Englandpublished at 29 mins

    Handre Pollard

It is indeed three more points to South Africa. The kick seems to be jet propelled off the boot of Handre Pollard at this altitude and it sails over, way over the top of the posts.

  19. 'England learn lessons'published at 16:41 British Summer Time 16 June 2018

    South Africa 7-12 England

    Matt Dawson
Former Lions and England scrum-half on BBC Radio 5 live

England seem to have learnt their lessons, they seem to be pacing themselves much better than last week. They're being clever and strategic in their defence and it seems to be paying dividends so far.

    South Africa 7-12 England

Now can England deal with the South African momentum better than they did last week? Elliot Daly clears well under pressure but Faf de Klerk plucks his kick out of the sky.

The South African number nine then boots an excellent kick down field for the line-out, from which England give away a sloppy penalty.

This should be another three to South Africa...
