Final few moments of this half. Can England hold out?

South Africa look to work an opening, but they're met by scrambling white shirts.

There's the hooter... but the half will end with a South Africa penalty.

South Africa would like to get something in the second half. They need to force England into the area to get something before half-time.

    South Africa 0-6 England

Here come England again with Nathan Hughes galloping through a broken South Africa defence from inside his own half.

He pops on to Mike Brown, but Jesse Kriel gets fingertips to the ball and that just forces the winger to knock on.

One or two bad errors from Elton Jantjies and I wouldn't be surprised to see Handre Pollard coming on early in the second half.

Over it goes from inside the South Africa 22.

    South Africa 0-3 England

England will no doubt be happy to get to the break with their lead intact.

They could be heading in with a bigger advantage as Chris Robshaw snaffles up a loose ball, before deciding he won't have the legs.

England keep it alive through Jamie George, and Ben Youngs looks for Mike Brown with a cross-field chip.

It's intercepted, but Youngs knew England had the penalty coming. Cue Owen Farrell...

Mike Brown making a good decision. Mike Brown going really well and Jonny May working really hard.

Chance for South Africa to break down the left as Jesse Kriel darts clear.

He looks to draw in Mike Brown before feeding Sibusiso Nkosi, but the centre gives it too early and Nkosi has to grubber down the line to avoid Brown.

Jonny May is first to it, sprints all the way across his own touchline with a hoard of chasing Springboks hunting him down, and leathers a kick into touch.

Good take from Springboks full-back Warrick Gelant after another long Ben Youngs box-kick.

South Africa return it, England give it away, South Africa kick it straight back into touch.

    Someone keep hold of it.

    Deary me...

Elliot Daly looks for the corner, but gets his effort all wrong and pings it beyond the deadball line.

The ball is bobbling back and forth like it's being pumped around a pin-ball machine.

England get the break on this occasion, and the scrum.

That turns into a penalty, which is taken quickly by Nathan Hughes and this time he rolls over newly-made nemesis Faf de Klerk.

It continues right through Ben Youngs, but Aphiwe Dyantyi dives in to grab a loose ball and can set South Africa away... no, penalty England wide out!

A few mistakes creeping in from both teams, but South Africa not as good as in the first two games.

Neat hands from Danny Cipriani as England work it left to Mike Brown, but South Africa secure a turnover in the tackle after hauling the Harlequins wing to the sodden turf.

    South Africa 0-3 England

Hang on... huge mismatch as Faf de Klerk takes on Nathan Hughes, but the diminutive South African picks up the England number eight and drives him backwards.

    The Newlands faithful love that.

The Springboks move it left, than back right again probing for a gap in that wall of white, but they're pulled up for holding on and Owen Farrell can boot this clear.

Loose pass from Faf de Klerk and South Africa are going backwards, before the scrum-half chooses to lash a box-kick of his own deep into the England half.

The South African cavalry is up quickly to turn it over and earn a penalty. They go to the corner, looking for that opening try.

    South Africa 0-3 England

Bit of a sloppy, niggly start to this one from both sides as you might imagine in such wet and windy conditions.

A first roar from the Newlands crowd as the Springboks threaten to break, but it's quickly snuffed out by a scrambling England defence.

Ben Youngs. Box-kick... think we'll be putting those two together a lot this afternoon.

Jonny May is having a storming opening to this game.

The winger darts round the outside of the Boks' defence before being wrapped up as England struggle to get numbers to him in support.

Danny Cipriani's flat pass pops loose and trickles forward as South Africa win the put-in at the scrum.
