Wales gave the ball back to Italy twice there. The attempted crossfield kick failed to be taken by Josh Adams and the visitors just need a little bit of composure.

A great take by Edoardo Padovani as the Italy wing claims Dan Biggar's cross-field kick over the top of Josh Adams.

Italy rumble into the Wales 22m, but Josh Navidi shows all those grapple smarts as he keeps his man off the floor and earns the visitors a scrum deep in their defending third.

A brass band has struck up the Italian national anthem in the Stadio Olimpico stands.

Leonardo Ghiraldini finds his man in the line-out on the Wales 22m. Could this be a platform for home team pressure?

Nope, Adam Beard rips the ball free of blue hands.

Wales haven't really done anything for those nine points apart from dominate territory. It's all you could have hoped for at this stage, away from home with 10 changes.

A bit more distance to make than on his previous two pokes, but Dan Biggar makes light of it.

    Comfortably through the uprights.

Wales grinding like it's the last slow number on a Saturday night dancefloor.

I think Wales are getting in the mood.

Dan Biggar just threw a no-look pass. Successfully. There was no one in the space he was directing his gaze to, but it looked good.

Biggar has another straightforward slot at goal as Italy's discipline slips once more.

One facet of the game you would normally associate Italy with at least achieving parity against Wales would be the scrum.

But Wales have the advantage in this area so far with the Italians yielding two penalties.

The second of those was slotted over by Dan Biggar from in front of the posts.

Wales lead from the pressure the forwards have applied at the scrum. Dan Biggar has an easy task.

Italy's scrum is coming under the pump already.

Scrum-half Guglielmo Palazzani knocks on at the back of the set-piece to flip it to a red put-in.

Then the blue front row folds on the reset.

A straightforward penalty right in front and Dan Biggar calls for his eggcup...

Dan Biggar runs into some heavy traffic and, with Sergio Parisse in contact, he has more trouble than Buzz Aldrin getting to ground.

The Wales fly-half worms to the deck just in time to beat the referee's whistle.

Italy force Wales out over the touchline, but give away a free-kick on their own 22m as they close the line at the line-out.

    Wales call for the scrum.

Italy did very well there. They seized the opportunity after the turnover and they got behind Wales. Had it been better execution it could have been more, but that will give them confidence.

But that is a prime piece of breakdown burglary from Jonathan Davies who claims the turnover for Wales on their own 22m.
