Pretty sure it's written in the contracts of every pro player nowadays that you are only allowed to leave the team bus and enter the stadium if plugged in to some form of earphone.

    Edinburgh v Glasgow Warriors (15:00)

Both Edinburgh and Glasgow sit fourth in their respective Pro14 Conferences, but the home side's group is an awful lot tighter.

In Conference B, Edinburgh are a point behind Connacht, three back from Scarlets and only five adrift of leaders Munster, who host rampant Leinster this evening.

Leo Cullen's unbeaten province are the runaway leaders in Conference A, a whopping 17 points above Glasgow and seven clear at the summit with a game in hand. Warriors will overtake Cheetahs, who have played a game fewer, and climb to third with victory this afternoon.

  3. Glasgow seek rare Murrayfield winpublished at 14:27 Greenwich Mean Time 28 December 2019

    Edinburgh v Glasgow Warriors (15:00)

These inter-city encounters are generally ferociously competitive, with derby-day pride and Scotland rivalries coming to the fore.

Glasgow have not won in the capital since Boxing Day 2016. They have lost on all but one of their past six visits to Murrayfield.

  4. Price is right for Glasgowpublished at 14:26 Greenwich Mean Time 28 December 2019

    Edinburgh v Glasgow Warriors (15:00)

After scampering away for the first of two Glasgow tries at Scotstoun, Ali Price is rewarded with the number nine jersey this afternoon.

He starts ahead of George Horne in one of four changes made by Dave Rennie.

DTH van der Merwe and fit-again Ratu Tagive replace the injured Tommy Seymour and Kyle Steyn on the wings.

And Oli Kebble gets in at loose-head prop with Aki Seiuli dropping to the bench.

    Edinburgh v Glasgow Warriors (15:00)

Here we go - 1872 Cup, round two. After last weekend's helter-skelter triumph at Scotstoun, Glasgow will win the trophy for the first time in three years with victory in the capital this afternoon.

The cup is important, of course, but much more valuable are the precious Pro14 points on offer as both sides seek to plot a route to the end-of-season play-offs.

A bumper crowd of over 26,000 expected, and you can soak up the atmosphere via the Sportsound commentary link at the top of this page. Enjoy!
