The commitment from both of these sides this afternoon has been awesome, but the crux of it is - England get go-forward. You can win the game from anywhere with go-forward.

Jonathan James: Remember when Wales could defend?

Ralph Brooker: That’s what Henry Slade brings. That try came from Slade running instead of kicking, setting up some brilliance from Ford

Rachel T: YAAAASSSSS! That Chariot is swinging fast and low!

  5. 'Too big, too strong'published at 18:18 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2020

    England 33-16 Wales

    Matt Dawson
England World Cup winner on BBC Radio 5 Live

Too big, too strong, too fit, too bright at times. England are pulling the strings left and right. In days gone by, England would have made hard work of it, but walking tries in is always a good sign...

Converted Try - England 33-16 Walespublished at 61 mins

    Manu Tuilagi (con George Ford)

England have their third try and they are cruising to victory.

The forwards punch holes in the Welsh defence up front, dragging the red line left and right, before the ball is moved wide and Manu Tuilagi strolls over the line unopposed.

George Ford kicks the extras to extend their lead.

  7. Worries over Farrell's knee?published at 18:15 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2020

    England 26-16 Wales

    Matt Dawson
England World Cup winner on BBC Radio 5 Live

Owen Farrell is going to go haring into contact, he's not going to shirk it, but his knee is obviously weak and you do not want a long-term injury here just because there isn't enough cover on the bench.

  8. Replacementpublished at 59 mins

    England 26-16 Wales

England follow suit by making a couple of changes themselves as George Kruis and Jamie George make way for Joe Launchbury and Luke Cowan-Dickie.

Kruis is reportedly looking at opportunities to play in Japan next season so could that be the last time we see him in an England shirt?

  9. Ball injury blowpublished at 18:13 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2020

    England 26-16 Wales

    Gareth Griffiths
    BBC Sport Wales at Twickenham

Wales second-row Jake Ball has picked up a nasty looking arm injury here and has been replaced by Aaron Shingler, normally a flanker.

Wales have also brought on Taulupe Faletau and Rhys Carre for Ross Moriarty and Rob Evans.

  10. Postpublished at 57 mins

    England 26-16 Wales

Henry Slade has been operating as a decoy runner for many of England's attacks but this time the Exeter player receives the ball behind George Ford.

He is tackled well and the ball is displaced before Ross Moriarty hacks the ball clear with a clear run to the try line, but play is brought back for a knock on by Wales in the tackle.

    Close call.

  11. Postpublished at 55 mins

    England 26-16 Wales

George Kruis gets his big mitts in the way to intercept the ball as Wales try to throw it wide. The second-row realises he doesn't have the pace to finish off under the posts so he puts boot to ball, but Leigh Halfpenny is on hand to mop up for Wales.

England are starting to turn the screw here.

  12. 'Expect England to power up again'published at 18:07 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2020

    England 26-16 Wales

    Paul Grayson
Former England fly-half on BBC Radio 5 Live

England needed something to settle themselves down. They went for strong-arm tactics at the scrum. Joe Launchbury is warming up, so expect England to power up again in the next few minutes.

  13. 'Scrum dominance will be in the referee's mind'published at 18:07 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2020

    England 26-16 Wales

    Jonathan Davies
Former Wales international on BBC Radio 5 Live

The dominance that England are showing in the scrum will be registered in the referee's mind for the rest of the game - and now they take it beyond a converted try again.

  14. Penalty - England 26-16 Walespublished at 52 mins

    George Ford

Owen Farrell is struggling with a dead leg so he is replaced on kicking duties by George Ford, who makes no mistake.

England have steadied the ship after their shaky start to the second-half, and you would expect them to kick on again now.

  15. Postpublished at 50 mins

    England 23-16 Wales

That is one of the loudest cheers of the afternoon at Twickenham as England put the pressure on to win a scrum against the head.

There's a lot of head-tapping and back-slapping as the England pack commend each other for their work and this penalty is in kickable range.

  16. 'England ran out of patience'published at 18:03 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2020

    England 23-16 Wales

    Matt Dawson
England World Cup winner on BBC Radio 5 Live

It's unlike England to run out of patience - that comes from pressure, from the good, solid line speed from Wales, getting up in England's faces. If they don't get what they want after four, five phases then sometimes there is a little hesitancy.

  17. Replacementpublished at 18:02 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2020

    England 23-16 Wales

    Gareth Griffiths
    BBC Sport Wales at Twickenham

    This is interesting.

Wales have changed their scrum-half early in the second-half with Rhys Webb coming on for Tomos Williams.

Webb has not played a lot of rugby but did make his Bath debut last Sunday. Let's see what impression he makes.

  18. Penalty - England 23-16 Walespublished at 46 mins

    Owen Farrell

England can take a breath as Owen Farrell calmly kicks the penalty to restore his side's seven point lead.

Some of the Twickenham crowd are only just returning to their seats after their half-time refreshments.

They might be a bit surprised at the scoreboard.

  19. Postpublished at 43 mins

    England 20-16 Wales

England have recovered well and they win a penalty in front of the posts. Owen Farrell points to the sticks as he attempts to settle the ship after Wales' blistering start to the second half.
