  1. 'England look extremely powerful'published at 17:27 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2020

    England 17-6 Wales

Former Wales international on BBC Radio 5 Live

Every time England get into the 22, they look extremely powerful. They've created the numbers out wide and it's a simple finish. Wales haven't got that clinical edge to them - they've created more opportunities this Six Nations than they have previously, but they haven't been clinical in the execution.

    Elliot Daly (con Owen Farrell)

    Great finish.

Ben Youngs snipes through from the line-out and then England move it wide for George Ford to feed Elliot Daly for a run-in on the wing.

  3. 'Wales aren't really going anywhere'published at 17:24 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2020

    England 10-6 Wales

    Jonathan Davies
Former Wales international on BBC Radio 5 Live

Wales haven't got a natural kicker - Hadleigh Parkes has missed a kick, so has Nick Tompkins. Sometimes, Wales are running through the motions and aren't really going anywhere. They lose their patience and end up kicking it pointlessly.

  4. Postpublished at 30 mins

    England 10-6 Wales

England have the advantage in the scrum and George Fords opts to kick wide rather than feed strike runner Manu Tuilagi.

The ball just eludes Elliot Daly on the wing but England come back for the penalty and Owen Farrell sticks the ball in touch.

The England Women's team has just appeared on the big screen as the crowd sings Swing Low, Sweet Chariot. Prop Hannah Botterman, who scored in their victory against Wales at The Stoop earlier, seems to be having a particularly good time.

Dave Sommerville: Hope Wales keep taking the penalty kicks at the posts when they are on offer - spurning them cost them dear against the French

Are we going to suffer due to Eddie Jones being a bit too clever again in his squad selection? It's all very well him enjoying the power of having 6 forwards to bring off the bench (like South Africa in the World Cup) but it also means that whenever a back gets injured we're worryingly light on proper replacements. And I don't buy into Earl training as a winger!

The hosts persist with their aerial bombardment of the Wales back three and this time Leigh Halfpenny succumbs to the pressure as he drops the ball.

England will have the scrum just inside the Welsh half.

Manu Tuilagi has had a quiet game in the centre but he might just be about to stretch his legs.

  8. '2-0 to George North'published at 17:19 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2020

    England 10-6 Wales

    Matt Dawson
England World Cup winner on BBC Radio 5 Live

It's 2-0 to George North in his personal battle against Owen Farrell there. He doesn't need to slow that ball down - roll away, he's about a foot from the touch line, there's only one place Wales can go. We say it time and time again, sometimes when Owen Farrell isn't quite there the aggravation gets the better of him.

  9. Kicking battlepublished at 17:19 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2020

    England 10-6 Wales

    Gareth Griffiths
    BBC Sport Wales at Twickenham

Wales are enjoying this cross kicking battle with Dan Biggar trying to find George North and Liam Williams on the wings.

A lot of aimless kicking has quietened down the Twickenham crowd that were at the most vocal after the early scuffle between both sides.

That's a waste and Hadleigh Parkes spills the ball in midfield.

England collect the loose ball and pump it into touch to clear their lines but Wales will have the ball again.

  11. Postpublished at 23 mins

    England 10-6 Wales

Wales are starting to show a bit of creativity on the immaculate Twickenham surface.

Dan Biggar has been targeted by England early on but he picks out Justin Tipuric with a pin-point crossfield kick.

Henry Slade does well to make the tackle but Wales will come back for the penalty. It's hoofed to touch and we'll have a line-out deep in English territory.

  12. Reliable Halfpennypublished at 17:14 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2020

    England 10-6 Wales

    Gareth Griffiths
    BBC Sport Wales at Twickenham

Leigh Halfpenny is doing the goalkicking today for Wales after Dan Biggar has been handed the job for the opening three games.

The full-back has slotted over a second penalty after a Manu Tuilagi high tackle.

Tuilagi has had his head bandaged up and England will need to keep him on because there is now no specialist outside back on the bench with six forward replacements.

  13. 'Wales lack any ideas in multi-phase play'published at 17:13 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2020

    England 10-6 Wales

    Jonathan Davies
Former Wales international on BBC Radio 5 Live

Wales were very, very flat there. They seem to attack off first phase very well, but lack any ideas in multi-phase play. They'll take the points, stay in the game.

With Wayne Pivac, he's aiming to go midfield, and what he's trying to achieve is the numbers on each side - but if Leigh Halfpenny doesn't step into the line, it's pointless.

  14. Penalty - England 10-6 Walespublished at 21 mins

    Leigh Halfpenny

    Was it ever in doubt?

Leigh Halfpenny slots his penalty from bang in front of the sticks and Wales are back to within four points.

  15. Postpublished at 20 mins

    England 10-3 Wales

England centres Owen Farrell and Manu Tuilagi put in a combined high tackle on Josh Navidi and Wales have the penalty in front of the posts.

This should be an easy three points for an international kicker of Leigh Halfpenny's calibre.

And it's Henry Slade that concedes a penalty just inside his own half for holding on at the breakdown.

Wales kick to touch and they will have the line-out on the English 22, Can they launch an attack from here now?

  17. 'Wales need to go to their basics'published at 17:11 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2020

    England 10-3 Wales

    Matt Dawson
England World Cup winner on BBC Radio 5 Live

Wales think they need to create something from nowhere. Go to their basics, go through the motions, just get some territory.

We understand Jonny May has failed his HIA so he will not be rejoining the action. Henry Slade will stay on at full-back.
