The scrum is a mighty old contest, with each side gaining and losing the ascendancy.
This time, it's Cyril Baille who pulverises Zander Fagerson and wins a French penalty. The pressure is just immense on the Scotland tight-head.
Romain Ntamack goes for goal, straight in front, from around 45m.

The Scotland pivot, short of options, chucks a speculative ball to the isolated Jamie Ritchie.
Over the ball is the hulking Julien Marchand, and France win the penalty.
The home side just can't build momentum, though. They secure the line-out easy enough, then there's a forward pass to the onrushing Virimi Vakatawa.

France try to run their way out of bother, but Virimi Vakatawa is absolutely atomised by Chris Harris. He was lined up from a good 10m away.
Finn Russell scoops the ball up one-handed and skates over, but Wayne Barnes was still playing advantage for the Watson knock-on.
