France 18-13 Scotland
France are all over the shop at the maul. Romain Taofifenua is so far offside he could be playing for Scotland. Russell to the corner again. These are seismic moments.
France 18-13 Scotland
Goodness me. Sam Johnson runs a scything line off Ali Price from first phase and gets so, so close to the French try line.
If Scotland recycle cleanly, they probably score on the left. But Hamish Watson is a fraction of a second too slow in releasing the ball, gets marched backwards, and Scotland are thwarted.
There was a French infringement in there somewhere - I think for offside - and Scotland will go for the corner. This is a big call. They want the try.
France 18-13 Scotland
Good grief, that was absolutely ridiculous.
Ali Price sends a fabulous box kick right down into the French corner, but France run it back and then some. It's outrageous stuff from Damian Penaud, who beats a few men and feeds Arthur Vincent.
Out of nowhere, France are 60m further forward, Gael Fickou powers into the Scottish 22, and then an Antoine Dupont chip bounces off the winger's head and back into Finn Russell's arms.
Russell clears, Dulin returns, Darcy Graham carries, and Scotland win a breakdown penalty. Russell boots the away side up to the French 22.
And breathe.

Quote MessageScotland are playing their own game. They're not thinking about anything else other than 'lets get closer and closer on the scoreboard'.

Quote MessageThere's a lot of power from Scotland. You see how hard they push, a great tackle from Ntamack. I think it's a good idea to go for goal.
Finn Russell
Simple enough kick for Scotland's stand-off, and the visitors are back within a score.
France 18-10 Scotland
Scotland summon the bruisers and ask their heavies to punch through the French fringe defence. The big boys do a pretty decent job, too, and milk a penalty advantage.
With a free play, Russell puts in a hopeful grubber for Darcy Graham which goes dead. Back we come, and Russell goes for goal.
France 18-10 Scotland
Now George Turner is down receiving some treatment. These games against France always leave plenty walking wounded, such is the size and brutality of the home pack.
The Scotland hooker seems to have a problem with his finger or hand.
Bernard Le Roux, who is just back from injury himself, is brought off for France, with Romain Taofifenua on.
Russell makes a good touch inside the French 22. Scotland could really do with points here.
France 18-10 Scotland
Some introduction, that, from Oli Kebble. Penalty Scotland from the scrum. He is a real beast of a man.
On comes Stuart Hogg, his sin-bin period over. Scotland are five points worse off than when he departed.

Quote MessageWe could get some chaos in the next twenty-odd minutes with two teams chasing this victory.
France 18-10 Scotland
Rory Sutherland looks to be in a lot of pain. Off he comes, to be replaced by Oli Kebble, the giant Glasgow loose-head prop.
His first task will be anchoring this Scottish scrum.
France 18-10 Scotland
Right, Finn Russell is attempting 50m drop-goals now. This will be interesting. It went very wide, by the way.
France knock-on from the 22m drop-out, and Scotland will have a scrum around halfway.
Into the final minute of the Hogg sin-bin period, but Rory Sutherland is down, not for the first time, clutching his shoulder.
Damian Penaud
Stupendous. Absolutely stupendous. Ali Price box-kicks too far, and France go quickly with Brice Dulin.
A phase later, and Virimi Vakatawa draws two men and unleashes an outrageous back-door off-load.
Damian Penaud chips the last defender, and despite being obstructed by Price, grounds the bouncing ball. Mag-nificent. Ntamack can't add the conversion from out wide.
Oh my goodness, that is utterly glorious from France.
Damian Penaud has surely scored here as he pounces on his chip-and-chase.

Quote MessageFrance can be more decisive. They should be more clinical in that position. Vakatawa once or twice was just a little bit hesitant.
France 13-10 Scotland
France come alive once more and lance their way into the Scottish 22 through a Gael Fickou charge.
It looks for all the world like a try is imminent, but wonderful work at the breakdown wins the 14 men of Scotland a penalty.

Quote MessageScotland are missing Stuart Hogg. They're missing the length and the power of that boot.
France 13-10 Scotland
We'll see plenty of this now from France, with no Hogg in the back field.
Brice Dulin is a lovely kicker and grubbers an angled ball in behind the Scottish defence.
Pressure on the away line-out 15m from their own line. Grant Gilchrist makes another clean take.
France 13-10 Scotland
Okay, Sam Johnson has just about fresh-air swiped a kick here. Fortunately for Scotland, the ball is back with them and then cleared by Ali Price.
