Wales, meanwhile, have handed British and Irish Lions wing Josh Adams a first international start at centre.

Fly-half Dan Biggar will captain the side for the first time.

Fit-again back row Ross Moriarty is named among the replacements alongside uncapped Ospreys hooker Dewi Lake.

One late change today sees lock Ben Carter replace Seb Davies on the bench.

Starting with the hosts, the headline news is a debut for wing Mack Hansen.

The Australia-born back has scored six tries in nine appearances for Connacht since joining from Super Rugby side the Brumbies last summer.

Ireland head coach Andy Farrell has named an otherwise familiar team with Bundee Aki partnering Garry Ringrose in midfield.

James Ryan has recovered from injury and will join Tadhg Beirne at lock.

The Six Nations is back! And this time it feels like its brilliant old self once again.

After two years without fans, the supporters are back in their thousands in Dublin today for a mouthwatering encounter between Ireland and reigning champions Wales.

Strangely for a team aiming to win a third title in four years, Wales are seen as outsiders this time, owing much to their enormous list of injuries.

By contrast, Ireland are one of the pre-tournament favourites having beaten New Zealand in the autumn and seen their provincial teams flourish in Europe this season.

Without further ado, let's have a look at the teams.
