France 17-0 Wales
Bethan Lewis and Georgia Evans both on their haunches in need of the magic sponge.
Lewis has already put in a shift.

I think France have got one of the best defences in the Women's game and arguably the Men's game.
It's how the game started, having to concede early. Wales just need to have a breather and make sure they keep their hands on the ball.

Wales captain Hannah Jones showing a little bit of nip there in trying to retrieve the ball for a Welsh scrum.
The crowd don't like it, but it's the spark Welsh need after a really sluggish opening quarter.
France 17-0 Wales
Wales finally get into the French 22
Oh that's a shame. Lleucu George cut a nice angle but couldn't hold onto the pass.

The French players just look on it at the moment, they seem just intent on making a statement in this first 20 minutes.
France 17-0 Wales
Wales get a let off.
The French lineout is not straight and Elinor Snowsill boots clear after a scrum.
Bethan Lewis did well at the back of the Welsh scrum which is without their number eight.
France 17-0 Wales
Harries takes one for the team after France break clear.
Lisa Neuman did well to chase down Cyrielle Banet in the corner and Harries deliberately gets in the way as France support players threatened to score.
France 17-0 Wales
OK Wales finally have their hands on the ball.
What can they do?
Oh dear, a Welsh player goes to ground and doesn't release the ball with French players all over her.
France 17-0 Wales
And the Mexican wave has begun here at Stade des Alpes.
The home crowd are loving this and it's easy to see why.
Wales need to be careful here that this does not become a rout.
France 17-0 Wales
Yeah Williams-Morris won't want to see the replay of that one.
As a winger, you can't be getting beaten for pace by a forward!

What a pin-point kick! Gaelle Hermet still has a lot to do but she's got the speed to take on a winger on the outside and then powers herself through.
Gaelle Hermet, con Jessy Tremouliere
The flanker waited and waited out wide for the cross-field kick but what a step to beat wing Carys Williams-Morris.
Tremouliere who delivered the kick adds the conversion.

Having been around the girls in camp this week, the word that came up when I mentioned France away was "hostile".
But I have to say, the 20,000 fans here clapped both teams equally as loud when they came out of the tunnel and showed a great deal of respect for the Welsh anthem.
They just love rugby!

Wales have got to get straight back into this game now. They need to settle those nerves.
Jessy Tremouliere
Another French attack leads to points as Tremouliere slots the kick with casual ease.

I'm sitting right next to Wales' coaching staff and they didn't hide their disappointment there.
Wales have got off to the worst possible start.

It's just great support-lines isn't it. You are not stopping Menager from there, she is an incredible athlete and such a powerful runner on the ball.
Romane Menager, con Jessy Tremouliere
What a start by France - disaster for Wales.
Kate Williams knocked on from the kick-off. First scrum and Tremouliere darts down the blindside before back-rows Gaelle Hermet and Menager combine for a well-worked try.
France 0-0 Wales
Great atmosphere in Grenoble.
Italian referee Clara Munarini blows and Jessy Tremouliere, one of the greats of international rugby, get us under way.
