It's Wray's final game before retirement and he gets a warm ovation.

An unbelievable sidewinding spiralling kick from the replacement hooker Theo Dan.

England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford would have been chuffed to bits with that kick!

Robin Hislop has come in there with a shoulder to the back of the head really.

Rugby is a very dangerous sport and you have got to look after the players' heads, so I'm glad that got dealt with.

Six and a half minutes is a long time. Anything can happen.

Ferocious work at the breakdown by Sarries to push back the waves of maroon shirts.

Sarries then steal the ball and an incredible 50-22 kick - from hooker Theo Dan of all people - gives Sarries field position and a breather from the Sharks attack.

Plenty of time for a twist in the tale.

Saracens replacement prop Robin Hislop is shown yellow for a dangerous clear-out at the breakdown.

Sale need to make the most of the one-man advantage until full-time.

What a response to going behind from Saracens.

Sale need to throw caution to the wind now to keep their title dreams alive.

I'm not thinking that is conclusive.

My understanding of the word 'conclusive' is that it has to be definite.

It's interesting to see Sarries immediately gathered on halfway, Duncan Taylor bringing them all in, and probably chatted about composure and the kicking game from now on.

There's nine minutes left, the game's definitely not done for Sale so they can't be doing anything rash.

After studying several replays, TMO Tom Foley says the try should be awarded.

Ivan van Zyl did enough to get the ball over the whitewash.

Owen Farrell slots the extras and Saracens have a 10-point lead.

Is there any way back for Sale now or will it be a sixth Premiership title for Sarries?

It is so difficult to tell. That is not conclusive.

  17. Try reviewpublished at 71 mins

    Saracens 28-25 Sale

    Almost another try for Saracens.

They spread it out left and Max Malins sends it back inside before it looks like Saracens scrum-half Ivan van Zyl is over.

Joe Carpenter gets back to get his hand on it.

Luke Pearce says the ball is held up. But he goes upstairs to the TMO anyway for confirmation....

Sam James, with six Premiership tries this season, is on for Manu Tuilagi in the centre for Sale.

So little in the game with 10 minutes left. One penalty, drop-goal or try will change things drastically now.

What an awful way to give a try away, a charge down kick. Du Preez will be spitting. His team will have to rally round him.

Is that take an extra gut shot too many for Sale?

  20. 'It's come from nothing'published at 16:39 British Summer Time 27 May 2023

    Saracens 28-25 Sale

    James Mitchell
Former Sale scrum-half, on BBC Radio Manchester

Another try that's come from absolutely nothing, to be honest. Sale looked like they were in control but Sarries get a breakaway try.

You can't be pressing the big red button now if you're Sale, you have to stay calm and relaxed, that's what George Ford will be telling them. They're only three points behind still.
