England 12-3 Argentina
Seconds from the break, Argentina look shell-shocked.
England and George Ford have been ruthless without seeing lots of the ball.

England just throw in another dagger!
George Ford is taking control of this game. It is up to Alex Mitchell and George Ford if they do a drop goal.
We are seeing a performance from Ford, normally what we see from him in a club jersey. He is taking control, he is the general.

Jemma: Missing Farrell in squad? Not when we've got Fordy smashing the drop goals.
Shaun: Wow, George Ford, take a bow!
Anon: And another drop goal from Ford. Extraordinary stuff.. England 12-3 UP, playing with 14 men... Pumas not capitalising on that, in fact it seems that tthe Pumas are one man down.
George Ford
Stop it!
Another sniff and another George Ford dink over the posts.
It's clever, it's effective and it's the 14 men of England nine points in front of Argentina at the World Cup.
England 9-3 Argentina
Whatever you can do, we will try and do better...
Santiago Carreras tries to follow George Ford's lead and have a crack at a drop goal from distance, but it drifts just wide.
That could be one of the loudest cheers of the night from the England faithful.

The best part of that for me, George Ford got back to the 22 metre line within a blink. Freddie Steward came running over to him celebrating and Ford told him to calm down.
George Ford
What is going on?!
England may be down a man but they are converting territory into points, courtesy of the boot of George Ford.
This is from deeper than the first but it's the same outcome. It's not every game you see two drop goals attempted by the same player in the first half an hour of a Test match.
If it ain't broken, don't fix it.

Never going to complain with that. It is pretty much the only option Ford had, great execution.
England 6-3 Argentina
England have the penalty close to the halfway line and Elliot Daly fancies his chances.
The wing has a huge boot but his penalty is just wide of the mark. Argentina gather the loose ball but England are hot on their heels.
I'm not sure who is down to 14 here.
George Ford
Oh how England love a drop goal at the World Cup.
This one won't live as long in the memory as that Wilko moment, but George Ford finds a pocket of space and decides to have a dig.
The ball sails over the posts and England take the lead.
England 3-3 Argentina
Mateo Carreras has just lifted the England fans.
The dangerous Argentina wing has had a quiet half, but he kicks the ball straight into touch and concedes a line-out.
The England fans enjoyed that one.

There has been a few quick pick-and-go's. It makes the defence think are they going to squeeze in tight from those wider channels.
I want to see George Ford run as well!
Argentina think they have got over the line, but was there a knock on in the build-up?
The referee decides there was and Argentina have to settle for an earlier penalty.
It's a quick tap in a move straight off the training paddock, but Courtney Lawes is over the ball quickly and wins the decision, to the delight of his team-mates.
England 3-3 Argentina
England have played with real endeavour after losing Tom Curry to a red card.
Their heads haven't dropped, but Argentina manage to steal the ball at the breakdown and two passes later, it's kicked deep into English territory.
Steve Borthwick's men will have to defend a line-out on their 5m line, but not until we have had a quick water break.

No need for England to fear being down to 14 men. They've been training for this moment for months.

England 3-3 Argentina
Santiago Carreras returns to the field as it is decided his yellow card will not become a red.
Argentina are back to their full complement, while England will have to play the rest of the game with 14.
England 3-3 Argentina
A frantic few minutes.
Shall we get back to some rugby?
Ben Earl picks up from the base of the scrum and sets off down the blindside. England look like they want to play with some intensity.

A clear red. Those who think otherwise have their red rose tinted glasses on a little tight. Unfortunate, but definitely a red card with head on head contact, force, and an upright body position.

Ian: For goodness sake! What was he meant to do with his head? Are they rugby players or not? This sport is getting ridiculous.
Tom: That is not a red card. The player travelled way too far in the air and Curry adjusted as well as he could. If that's a red then Santiago Carreras is definitely one because there was way more intent. Awful decision.
Jez: I've watched rugby union all my adult life and simply don't understand it anymore? How is that a red card for an accidental clash of heads? Can someone explain what going on?
